Re: Rep Lodge Thread 89: As The Holidays Approach

You mean DaveStPaul is not in St. Paul?
Well, I guess he won't be drinking with us at the F5.

Well now, I wouldn't say that. :D

When I signed up here at the USCHO we were living in St Paul. Then the wife got transferred to Crazyland here. But we've still got our house back home, just a scant 2 blocks from The Groveland Tap. In fact, a certain poster -- name of Beer Pong Horn, I do believe -- promised me some beverages there when I get back. (Of course, he also said somebody else would be actually paying for them. :p )

HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO!!

Looks like somebody locked the front door to THE LODGE and no one has a key to get inside. Well, I'm getting ready to have dinner[kung pao chicken takeout] and watch the Avs-Blackhawks game. See ya later. :)

Re: Rep Lodge Thread 89: As The Holidays Approach

For those who missed the saga in the Grind your gears thread- L'il has had a string of projects due. Did OK with the first 2 but the last one (Honors English- obviously NOT what you wait to the last minute) he ended up in a real time crunch. I lost it (Mr just huffs and puffs and looks angry. I am the devious and nasty parent)and decided rather than have him pay to get driven to school so he could sleep late, we would charge him like a parking meter (Mr's analogy) - 50cents for every 15 minutes until he hit the bed. $3.50 later + the $1 he paid me to type it and he had used up his allowance for the week as well as biting into his savings. The cost goes up every event- 50c for 10 minutes next time. Bed time is in 10 minutes. Next project has already been completed and he is watching a bit of TV.:D :D :D

The kid is tighter than a tick. Should have figured out this method a bit earlier.:p

What....no usurious interest rates? No massive hit to his credit report? And you call yourself "nasty and devious." Puh-leeze.

Re: Rep Lodge Thread 89: As The Holidays Approach

I'm in a serious country mood...
I polished up the Llamas, probably will be wearing them this weekend in Duluth. Wearing the XXXXX Stetson, watching the CMAs and drinking single barrel vintage Evan Williams. Now, if only I was back home with a bunch friends at a bonfire in the middle of the field, sitting on a tailgate...

I am having a hard time deciding who is hotter: Miranda Lambert or Carrie Underwood...

Miranda Lambert.

Evening, Lodge. Homemade mac and cheese for dinner tonight; didn't turn out too bad.

I really wouldn't kick either one of them out of my bed for eating crackers.

Still think "Chicken Fried" should have gotten song of the year.

Re: Rep Lodge Thread 89: As The Holidays Approach

Good evening Lodge.

Had a nice dinner at Lake Elmo Inn tonight. It was a much needed break from the intense crap I have been dealing with all week.

Still 50/50 regarding being able to make it to riotville ice arena this weekend. :D

Re: Rep Lodge Thread 89: As The Holidays Approach

A lovely head cold has set itself in place over the last 24 hours or so. Here's to hoping this one doesn't develop into something worse, the head colds usually don't.

Re: Rep Lodge Thread 89: As The Holidays Approach

Have lots of hot toddys. Even if it doesn't help, you won't care. ;)

The American Lung Association says to not treat the cold or flu with alcohol, because it causes dehydration.

Then again, when have I done anything that any sort of Lung Association would recommend?
