My sister does too... did I mention she only started the new job on Tuesday. She works 5 hours and gets a free bird. :)

Starting to put my computer together... I got a wireless keyboard/mouse combo device and its even more awesome in person... no bigger than a laptop keyboard. Obviously the keyboard goes last, but its going to be so nice and efficient for a TV computer.

Morning (barely), Lodge. That really, really sucks about your wallet, Bob - hopefully you catch a break and someone kind finds it. :D

As for me, I'm not still full from turkey, but we did go out to the Copper Dome for breakfast, kitty-corner from BabyJesus' old stomping grounds in St. Paul. That filled me up with panca... er, flapjacks. ;)

Fun with motherboards... I suppose I'm getting what I asked for in building my own computer... trying to figure out where all the parts go and putting it altogether... pain the in ***.

edit: this would be so much easier if I had a coffee table

Crack Alpha was stopped by Speedy Glass and seems to be holding up well.

Crack Beta didn't have a chance. It danced right around the Safelite repair and kept on going. Finally, I just said "if it's gonna go, it's gonna go" and turned up the defroster and it took off like farking Usain Bolt.

Anyone wanna do a date pool on when I acquire Crack Gamma?

Got a call this morning that a kid from my high school that I had loose ties with (Boy Scouts, spelling bee, etc.) committed suicide.

Pretty much totally out of the blue, seemed to have a lot of friends, apparently was off his meds. No one's sure exactly how or why yet.

Yikes, Twitch! :(

Checking in - Tetanus shot and bagel for breakfast, then delicious turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes with gouda and prosciutto, potato/leek soup, vidalia onion pie, roasted squash, and roast brussel sprouts last night. Then homemade apple strudel, pumpkin cheesecake with candied walnuts and brown sugar crisp on top, peanut butter blossoms, and vanilla ice cream for dessert.

Today was spent at the movies (went to see Harry Potter 7) and doing an early Hanukkah celebration with the family.

I don't know how you other nerds (if any of you have) in terms of building a computer... so many things with connections that appear to go nowhere and other stuff... part of me wants to believe i'm closer to the end than I want to believe... everything is connected to something... I think... would just have to stuff the wires and put the metal back in the right order.

If this works I'll be shocked.

The KBC Porter Growler I bought last week must have not sealed right. It's flat. F*!!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

At least the Belgian Blitz is still good.

I'll take the zappage at this point... the SATA power cables are shorter than I would like and shorter than would be useable if I had every hard drive bay full. I have a solution for this, it'll work, but i won't like it.

Wish I had some. My aunt bought a relatively small turkey as there were only 6 of us. No turkey was left over. I got Chinese food. I may make hot chocolate. It's chilly tonight.
