Redemption....Ground Hog Day

Like they aren't already? In my field, anything that creates positive exposure is a good thing, I had a time getting used to the no-checking, but I find the women's game getting better all the time, IMO merging the championships would be among the fastest steps they could hope for at gaining fans and recognition.

Norm, what surprises me is that we frequently agree. - I meant you being a Plattsburgh guy and all :p

But seriously I totally agree with what you said. Both NU games will be streamed today, and I will be watching both intently from my snowy home in CO, as we are looking at a possible foot of snow, followed by temps in the 60s next week

Redemption, or Bad News Bears? :D I love Groundhog Day, and wouldn't mind seeing it again on Saturday night. And if we're calling up ghosts of players past, I'll bring back PT's father Paul and Tommy Sasso, the only (?) player to win the college division Hobey Baker award twice. They would make Swiss cheese of whoever you put in goal. This is Norwich's NC game - I don't see anybody else beating them. Babson, on the other hand, I don't see beating anybody but Norwich. What at this point a great game to be able to see. I am so jealous of all of you who are going.

Go Babo!

I hope Norwich goes into this thinking the same thing, At this time of year any of the teams remaining could win it all. It's not good to get cocky.

Actually, the gold medal game (vs Finland) was somewhat anticlimactic in comparison to the semifinal (vs the USSR), which is probably the best game ever played in that arena.

I would put the Norwich/St. Norbert final ahead of the gold medal game.
You might feel differently had you been there. I do, and I attended both games.

For all the very well deserved press that Zeke Testa has gotten--what a delight that Chris Czarnota not only gets a well deserved win but a shut out as well. Both goalies did a great job in the game and for their teams this year.
And congratulation to Babson for a great season. Good luck Cadets at LP.

The secret was to beat Testa early, and then let Czarnota do the rest.

I for one will be glad to not not have to deal with PT Donato any more, too. That was one solid hockey team. However Ryan Heavey will be back.

Re: Redemption....Ground Hog Day

As I said in an early post--they loose as many seniors as we do--including Zeke Testa. They have a great club for sure.

I couldn't agree more--and when that second goal arrived Chris must have said to himself, "It is now or never" He rose to the challenge and the rest of the team did a superb job watching his backside. Great game. Now on to LP:)
