Quinnipiac @ RPI 12/6/2013

Re: Quinnipiac @ RPI 12/6/2013

I'm not seeing any WRPI options here .
I'll just have to listen to the second stringers.

See the outlined black box at the top of the youtube screen? Click to the right of that, and you'll hear Tricks blow out your speakers when RPI scores.

It seems to work differently if you're on RPI TV or actually on Youtube (try clicking the YouTube logo in the bottom right of the player). If you hover/click on the video, you should see something that says "Currently Watching: Main Camera" with two black boxes below that. Click the right box. Try refreshing the page if you don't see the "Main Camera" thing, or try looking for a camera icon in the bottom right.

Really strong first period by the boys. Just a couple of mistakes short of being a perfect period. But the first period has been by far our best most nights. Hope we can play like this for the next 40 minutes. QU was beginning to get a few more chances late in the period but Diebold has made the few really good saves he has had ot. Go Red!!

RPI up 2-0 at the end of one.
Second period is going to be a big test, as Q will be flying when they come out for the second period.

Certain devices use different streaming technologies to play back video. YouTube automatically provides the "best" solution for each device. Your DVD player is probably buffering more heavily than your computer to try and make things smoother. Some devices, like iOS devices for example, use a chunked streaming approach where 30 second long files are sent to the device and merged together to create the appearance of a stream. This requires an additional 30 second delay.

I appreciate the answer-I don't have a clue what that all means-but appreciate it none the less.:) The broadcast looks absolutely crystal on the big HD screen but the delay is obvious. I switched from sending it wifi to the TV and tried it wired direct-but it had no effect. That would fit with your explanation.

I hope our commentary provided a view into how dominant RPI was in that period.

Re: Quinnipiac @ RPI 12/6/2013

Does anyone know what was going on in the west end of the HFH between periods?

It was the RPI Bhangra club; a couple videos of their performances can be found on YouTube, and they've also featured in numerous RPI TV productions over the years -- namely PakSA (Pakistani Student Association)'s Jashn show, and the Asian Awareness Week night show.

It's Cultural Night at the Field House.

Thanks. I wouldn't have guessed it was Pakistani.
