Quinnipiac @ RPI 12/6/2013

Re: Quinnipiac @ RPI 12/6/2013

Something new from RPI TV, apparently the primary stream will have "Commentary by former New York Rangers PA announcer John Heffernan and Tim Rappleye."

WRPI audio looks like it should be available by "switching camera views" in the YouTube player.

Huh, that's interesting. I wonder why the schism.

Why would you want to listen to them when you have Rob and me?

Made-for-TV commentary has always been a dream for RPI TV. It's unfortunate that it has to come with the loss of WRPI. I always sort of envisioned a couple RPI TV studio anchors who tossed to the WRPI team to provide commentary.

If you still have any clout with the RPITV people, I'm in.

Looks like the delay between WRPI and the video will be considerable tonight. Always a bit confusing so I will probably be listening to the RPITV audio for tonight.

It's definitely worth talking about, there should definitely be increased synergy between the two groups.

My understanding is that the commentary team tonight approached RPI TV about the idea, rather than RPI TV seeking them out. No idea if this is a one night experiment or something longer term.

You should be able to switch to WRPI audio on the RPI TV site by hovering over the video and choosing "WRPI Commentary" from the top bar where it says "Currently Watching: Main Camera".

I wonder why they were interested.
