Quinnipiac Bobcats - 2025 Offseason

It wouldn’t shock me if he had to do too much covering up for the suck of the RPI roster which was downright bad. Put him next to someone like a Groenewold and I bet he’s not shaky at times. The RPI roster was mostly just plain bad with guys that probably shouldn’t be in d1. Hence why Eric lang will gut that roster to the studs.
The roster was really bad. Lang stripped it down to the studs for sure.

Just announced from Holy Cross Instagram, QU will do a home and home with HC this coming season.

QU @ HC Tues Oct 21
HC @ QU Tues Nov 26

This is making me scratch my head as I expected HC to only 1 game with QU this coming season. I have weird feeling we might not see BU at home or something else. And I am hearing we might be playing Stonehill again which I hope isn't the case.

Was just looking at the consolidated schedule and it looks like there will only be 3 out of 12 out of conference games are at home so this year so we only have a total of 14 home games. A bit disappointing.

Watched the draft last night. I wished they focused more on which kids were going NCAA route. Any QU recruits potentially getting picked today? At least Schlossman had the list on X.

Guys to watch for today are Nicholas Sykora (109th ranked), Matt Lansing (175th ranked), Ethan Wyttenbach (185th ranked) and possibly Samuel Doyon-Cataquiz (32nd ranked goalie)

Was shocked Sykora was not drafted. Usually bloodlines is a big help.

It was more shocking he was ranked just out of the top 100 and not picked. If he can come in and have a big year he might find his way drafted next year. He might have been hurt by the fact he was pretty bad on a very bad Omaha team and once he was traded to Sioux City with better players he started to put up points.

When do we expect the out of conference schedule to be final? Would like to make some plans for away games but don't recall when all is finalized.

i am glad we gave Bennett a chance but watching him and Rand on the bench, it seemed like they were not close. Maybe that's just me as an outsider analyzing body language. Obviously he has the relationship with Dumais.

I've always liked Coach Bennett, even during his Union years, and I wish him well at Maine. I'm sure we'll see him as a head coach again in the future.

What I did find odd during his short stint at QU was the number of games we didn't see him behind the bench. Granted some of those games he was up in the press box, but others he wasn't even in the building. The game at Union comes to mind because their fans kept asking where he was.

Any recommendations on reasonable resale Quinnipiac tickets? Tried getting them for the Saturday Maine game but they were gone too quickly. Thanks!

That's because it's Alumni Weekend.

Best bet is to try StubHub. There seems to be few tickets available behind the visitor's bench. Good Luck!

I was looking to pick up tickets for a few games in Hamden and noticed that the student section has been dramatically altered. Instead of the normal block of about 3 sections behind the far goal, it looks like they are trying to optimize revenue by varying the size depending on the game. It appears to range from as little as part of one section for vacation games, a single section for less popular in-session opponents and 3 or 4 sections for the big games. It makes sense given the size of the rink and the market, but I've never seem a school try it before. It may be interesting if they guessed wrong for certain games.

Went to the Quinnipiac Coaches Road Show last week at Bear's Smokehouse in New Haven. First off, great event. Though it's not as big as the season ticket holder barbeque they used to hold annually at The Bank, it was still a fun evening hearing from the basketball and hockey coaches discuss the upcoming season.

Rand talked about a lot of things, including NIL, recruiting, the incoming freshmen class, etc. He also brought up scheduling and he said Quinnipiac is committed to playing BC, BU and Maine for the next several years. He also said QU will be returning to Belfast and they have an opening round matchup against Minnesota in the Friendship Four. He didn't specify if its next season or the season after.

They've been doing that for years and it seems to work out.
