Quinnipiac Bobcats 2024 Off-season: Rebuild and re-try

According to @SHUHockeyBlog on X, the dates for CT Ice 2025 are January 24th and 25th at Martire Family Arena.

Opening round matchups are:
Sacred Heart-Yale
UConn-Quinnipiac

I guess they need to rotate the initial match ups but having the 2 best teams play first round not so great.

Since my Rangers were eliminated, is it fall yet? Need my Q fix. Looking forward to the schedule release and attending a few road games.

BU releases its schedule. Surprised Quinnipiac isn't on there. After our trip to Agganis last November, I fully expected us to host the Terriers in 24-25.

2024-25 BU Men's Ice Hockey Schedule

Same...was looking forward to a game in Hamden this year. I could be wrong but wasn't that game added later (since it was Wednesday before Thanksgiving)?

I am wondering if Rand is looking to pull back the schedule a bit this year with all the new faces and improved Maine/UNH on the schedule. I hope not due to the Pairwise and "iron sharpens iron". Was hoping for a trip to NCHC region, but don't expect that this year.

QU just posted the 2024-2025 roster. I don’t remember seeing the roster posted so early. Obviously many new players. I think there is a lot of talent on this team. Some impressive freshmen and transfers.

Based on Maine's schedule and the home dates we know about pretty good chance that QU series will be 10/18 + 10/19.

Atlantic Hockey released its composite schedule today. Bobcats head up to Worcester to face Holy Cross on Saturday, November 2nd. Oddly, the game will be played at the DCU Center.

Mark Divver on X mentions a rumor about Rick Bennett going to Q as asst coach. Any substance? Nice pickup for Q as he is a good coach.

I missed that...

I wouldn't worry about Bennett. He's old school and apparently some Union snowflakes didn't like that style.

Joe Dumais was an assistant, and later associate head coach, under Bennett at Union. They won a Natty together in 2014. I could definitely see the two reunited in Hamden.
