Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015 Off-Season: "Thanks for the memories, Jack"

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015 Off-Season: "Thanks for the memories, Jack"

Another ironic AHL tidbit, every Yale player in the AHL, Backman, O'Neal, Agostino, Miller and Langaniere will be affected by the AHL expansion and shipped west to California next year

I like the moves personally. I know it's different when every team you have a rooting interest heads farther away. I think California will become a great producer of high level hockey talent

@JeffCoxSports: Per @CHeisenberg and confirmed by a Quinnipiac source, big BU forward Kevin Duane transferring to Bobcats. Played prep at Brunswick School.

He only played 4 games this season. Did he get hurt? If not, will have to sit out the season, correct?

We really needed a 6'5 215 F this past season. Would've made a huge difference. Tim Clifton and Travis St. Denis can only do so much in terms of bruising at their shorter sizes

Well, at least he already has the experience of losing a national championship game due to a stunning upset. Should fit right in. Sorry boys, couldn't resist. Good luck to him. Milford CT's Colin Sullivan went through a similar trial with BC and ended up a Junior at Miami.

Most likely will have to sit, unless they can win appeal according to this article in the Register:

Transfer rules are that you wait one year, and you typically use your "redshirt" for that year. A number of kids who transfer will play that year in Juniors (typically the USHL) in order to keep their skills fresh.

Developmental camp news

Devon Toews and Sam Anas will attend the Islanders camp.

Michael Garteig will attend the Bruins camp.

Tim Clifton will attend the Canadiens camp.

Connor Clifton will attend the Coyotes camp.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015 Off-Season: "Thanks for the memories, Jack"

Anas scored two goals in the Islanders Spring game. First one was a SNIPE from just inside to blue line and the second he made a nice move right in front of the net and went top corner. Pretty impressive for an undrafted kid! October is not that much further away!

Nice seeing some new names in this thread. Welcome to town Dog and Farm. Don't know why, but I started thinking Bobcats hockey last week. Must be these winter like temps in Maine ...

I've got two maybe three vacation days I need to use before my anniversary date at work (Oct. 28th). Looks like I'll be able to heckle MarkEagle nice and early this year.

Hope everyone's summer is going well. As the Dead say, "Summer's coming in and it's going outta style."
