Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015 Off-Season: "Thanks for the memories, Jack"

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015 Off-Season: "Thanks for the memories, Jack"

Mark is right here. The Renoufs didnt play this year so if Rand releases them (don't know if he has yet, but i'd be shocked if he didn't) they can play next year. They should get a redshirt for this year and have 4 years to play at UAA.

I agree with the part about releasing them to play immediately, but I am not about the 4 years. We have two players that were enrolled at Dartmouth and Minnesota and both lost eligibility, even though the latter only played an exhibition. Both also went to the USHL to 'burn' the year in between. I am pretty sure they either lose this year or will have to sit out and lose next year and either way would have three years left. I am pretty sure this is the case, but I'd welcome facts.

Did some digging and came up with this:

After reading it (and getting a massive headache) it does appear that there is a requirement to sit out one year. Lots of talk about exceptions and such, but I got lost in all the mumbo jumbo.

The NC$$ still has no idea about what they're doing hahaha

I'll be attending the banquet tomorrow night and will report back any of the interesting tidbits Rand chooses to share. I always enjoy the evening as it's great to see the guys "out of their element". While it's tough to say goodbye to the seniors, it's great to acknowledge their accomplishments and contributions to the program.

As usual a great time at the banquet. Peca and Federico weren't there for obvious reasons. I thought it was fitting that Matt got his first pro goal while his video speech was playing at the Bank.

Awards were:

MVP - Matt Peca
Rookie of the Year - Landon Smith
7th Player - Soren Jonzzon
Coaches Award - Dan Federico
Academic Award - Soren Jonzzon

Leaders for next season:
C - Soren Jonzzon
A - Travis St Denis, Sam Anas

Another season over. Is it October yet?

Good for Soren. I had the pleasure of meeting him during his visit to RPI. Class kid all the way.

Good for them! I hope they do well and wish them the best. It's too bad we didn't get to see them play.

Keith Petruzzelli was cut from the USNTDP under-17 tryouts which means he will be back at Springfield Cathedral for next season.

@JeffCoxSports: Muskegon takes big Springfield Cathedral goaltender Keith Petruzzelli in 9th rd. Quinnipiac commit is nice selection. Best '99 G in New Eng.
