Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - The post-season journey...

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - The post-season journey...

Congrats to QU on an outstanding season.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - The post-season journey...

That game was so eerily similar to four years ago. Just sickening. The posts, the chances, the goalie standing on his freakin' head. Our goalie letting in a soft one ... I mean, it's like a freakin' carbon copy. Unbelievable.

2 National title games in a few years span.. not bad at all, solid season again.

Just wanted to stop by here and say what a terrific season for QU. Talk about a scary/lethal PP! Your squad had a great year and I know the loss hurts/stings but QU will definitely be back. UND fans have experienced such heartbreak and stinging losses as well in past years. Hope UND and QU will play again some time!

Congrats. The CBS line was unstoppable and was the difference. That's what 2 1st round NHL draft picks will do to a team.

These two losses -- and however many losses there are before we get one -- are going to make the eventual championship this program wins so much sweeter. So, so, so much sweeter.

I don't know about you, but I'm d-a-m-n proud to be a Quinnipiac University alum, d-a-m-n proud to be a fan of the Quinnipiac hockey program, and especially d-a-m-n proud to have a personal connection with members of the staff of the Quinnipiac hockey program.

It's a program run by d-a-m-n good people, and they do this d-a-m-n thing the right way. One of these days, d-a-m-n good people will be rewarded for their d-a-m-n good work.

I used the word d-a-m-n a lot, but the word I'm thinking of, the word that cracked me up the moment I heard it at Colgate University, yelled out as an expletive by a member of the Quinnipiac administration during the ECAC Tournament ten years ago just fits the way I feel much, much better.

Balls.

Helluva season. Credit ND for shutting QU down. That was a good team. I am excited to have my Friday and Saturday nights back. See everyone at Sidestreet in October!

Obviously not tonight, but believe me, UND fans have shared your pain. We have hit hot goalies that knocked us out when we were clearly better than the other team, we've seen our own very good goalie have a terrible night such that we scored 4-5 goals yet still lost. The NCAA tournament can be very cruel.

The difference, unlike four years ago, you guys were the better team. The much better team. Incredible that there was that much of a difference between the two best teams in the country.

I'm stewing over what happened and trying to get work done. I have yet to find the words I want to use to describe how I feel about this, so I am just going for it here. I am very angry about that outcome for a few reasons. We could have easily been in that game but the puck just didn't seem to be on our side and we looked very intimidated for majority of that game. All I know is, I need to replace one of my robots teach pendants because of that 4th goal. We are losing a senior class that has embodied the Quinnipiac spirit so well but we have a very solid team returning and a pretty good recruit class coming in... Get these boys some very WELL deserved rest and we will be back in the hunt next year. Back to my old Boot Camp and 'A' School stomping grounds next year!

Maybe tonight, but the single game format does strange things. A couple of those posts go in tonight and you never know.

Congratulations on a fantastic season. Q's hockey success is a story most UND fans can get behind. Hopefully, these two schools will see more of each other in the future.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - The post-season journey...

Congratulations to North Dakota.

A sad end to a terrific season. Sure, it stings, but it doesn't diminish what this team did all season long. I'm ok with the fact that we made it to the final. Maybe it wasn't our best effort (and a lot of that had to do with the way North Dakota played) but we were there for the 2nd time on four years. Is there anyone in Bobcat Nation that would have thought that 5 years ago? This team has done so much in a short period of time. We've become a little spoiled as fans, but our day will come. The table has been set and the culture has been established.

My only regret is that we'll never see Travis, Mike, Soren, Alex, Jacob, or Tom wear the blue & gold again. They were huge part of a very special 4 years here at Quinnipiac. They embody what this team is and will be for the future. Thank you for giving it your all and best of luck in whatever your futures hold.

The posts, the close calls ... we were right there. One of those go in, it's a completely different hockey game. And that's why it hurts. They're the better team, but we were right here with them. That's going to hurt for a long time.

Just when I was starting to feel sorry for you guys you bring up Yale was not the best team in 2013, they SHUT QU OUT! A least you scored a goal tonight. Rand ran that lame line back in '13 as well, it's a poor excuse.

They weren't the better team. They played better that night. You will never convince me that Yale team was better than that Quinnipiac team.

It means nothing, because Yale was the better team that night, and that's all that matters. But over the course of the season? Not a chance. That's not a slight -- you won fair and square. But Yale was not a better team that year. They were just the better team when it mattered most.

Watch Pecknold's post-game presser tonight for more on the 2013 game and who was the better team.

No need to feel sorry for us. We just played in the national championship game that Yale sat home and watched on TV. Sure, you have the banner and got it at our expense, but I wouldn't trade that for the success we've had over the past 4 years. Our day will come.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - The post-season journey...

Congrats to Q on a great season and on proving that they have become one of the consistently elite programs in college hockey.

Was gonna say the same thing. And somehow he also complained about the officiating almost immediately. I can certainly understand why he isn't well liked.
