Your team is a pleasure to watch. Everyone can contribute offense or defense, LOTS of individual skill, lots of people able to finish the job. Very impressive.
If you keep playing like that, good things are coming your way !!

Aldworth had to have sensed us talking about him. He looked awesome. I was able to go back and watch the game after work, I saw a few great things. Miner-Barron's deliberate rebound shot off the blocker on the shorty was so disgusting! Aldworth finally looked like he had some legs under him and skated very well. TSD, what can you say that hasn't already been said, this kid has been the epitome of QU Hockey! Couldn't have asked for a better kid to get 100!

Huge game tonight in NYC against the Crimson. They need to come out just like they did against Union. Good, hard, disciplined play. Harvard is a very good team to begin with and will be hungry after their meltdown against BU. The boys need to stay focused and play to their strengths. Solid execution at both ends and Garteig will need to be on top of his game.

To all those going to the game safe travels and enjoy! I'm regretting my decision to not go but will be cheering loudly from home.

Congrats on the win, but I must say I don't like the type of game you play. I would say that Quinny is the dirtiest team I have seen this year - lots of stick work, unnecessary/dangerous hits, etc.

I was up in the press box for the game ... gotta say, this team has some serious high-end skill. That top line -- wow. And it goes all the way through the lineup. Perhaps the deepest team in QU history. The way this team just dominates teams in shot attempts, it's really impressive. Someone asked me today if this QU team is better than the group that went to the Frozen Four. I think this team is better than that team was. I really do.

12,016 fans at the Garden tonight, probably at least 10,000 of them were Quinnipiac fans. I've said this before, but to see where this program has come in such a short time, it's pretty remarkable. To bring 10,000 fans to Madison Square Garden (where Harvard had maybe 2,000, and I"m being very generous there) ... it was really impressive. The roar when D. Smith scored the OT winner was similar to what you hear after a Rangers goal. It was that loud. Really, really fun.

That game was such a blast. Quinnipiac is such a special place, and the community in Hamden is truly one-of-a-kind.

A very deep bench, especially with last night's line-up... probably our best.

Someone asked me today if this QU team is better than the group that went to the Frozen Four. I think this team is better than that team was. I really do.

I agree. This might be our best team to date.

I was a little surprised by the Q faithful watching the stream (yeah... I'm really mad that I didn't go). Seemed like lots of students too, which was impressive.

The roar when D. Smith scored the OT winner was similar to what you hear after a Rangers goal. It was that loud. Really, really fun.

I'm usually not a fan of conference games at neutral sites because there's just too much at stake points-wise. Last night worked on many levels. Of course, the Harvard fans may not agree. Then again, would the fan proportions have been any different at Bright?

Quinnipiac is such a special place, and the community in Hamden is truly one-of-a-kind.

Seeing the younger alum like yourself and the other great friends I've made over the years take such immense pride in your alma mater is great to see. A few short years ago we all wondered how long it would be until this program made it to the upper levels of the sport. There's still lot's to do, but it certainly has been a fun ride! :cool:

I take such pride in it because of the people there, because of how special a place it is.

Some people talking after the game about how they probably won't hesitate to bring Quinnipiac back to this event because of how well the school traveled. Some other national college hockey writers were impressed, too. It's happened so quickly. Obviously if we're not No. 1 in the country, we don't bring 10,000 fans to MSG. But to see No. 4 Harvard, which has an extensive alumni base, bring almost no one to this game, it's pretty shocking just how full the building was.

Have you ever been to Bright?
Harvard not only doesn't travel well......they don't show up at home either. When we play at Bright there are ALWAYS more people from SLU in the stands than Harvard fans. This may change as the team is doing a lot better.....but over the years Harvard has never traveled well at all.

I know this, but it's still so shocking to see the lack of alumni support -- especially when so many live in NYC. I'm not as surprised about Harvard's attendance as I am about Quinnipiac's. To bring over 10,000 fans to Madison Square Garden is ridiculous.

Would you have the same opinion if Harvard had won last night?

We never get the benefit of the calls from ECAC refs. Reading the box score it sure doesn't look like we were dirty last night. I saw some good, hard hits from both teams. Even the Harvard boarding call was questionable. It looked like 2 teams batting it out on ice to me.

Talk about an emotional roller-coaster. What those boys did last night in the 3rd and OT was huge, it made you forget that they blew a 4 goal lead. I thought the officiating was even but **** did they miss a lot of calls. This week off will be nice right before we get into the home stretch of conference games. BRING IT ON BABY!!!! Love everything about this team.

Nothing to do with the outcome. Harvard lost a much more "tough to take" game against BU, but BU played the game clean and while the loss was gut wrenching, I thought BU played a clean game.

I have seen Quinnipiac play once this season (n=1) so take what I say with a grain of salt, but I thought Quinny displayed as much stick work, interference (Harvard players entering the zone), and unnecessary hitting as I have seen this year....and they are too talented a team to do that.

I like a clean, crisp game and hockey is at its best to watch when the refs call the game that way.

The game is over now, but I would encourage you to re-watch the game and focus less on the puck and more on the sticks, the interference as Harvard entered the zone (should have been called way more), the hitting up high, etc.

The call on Donato for boarding was spot on. You can't hit a guy with his back turned to the wall like that, regardless of how "hard" hit was. That type of penalty is generally not in his nature and I am sure he was frustrated given where the game was at that point. But that's no excuse. And from what I heard, Donato gave his son a very stern talking to when he made his way back to the bench.

Quinnipiac is a great team - the class of the ECAC. A much more complete team than Harvard (Harvard's defense is not good enough this year).

There was a lot of stick work coming from Harvard also. Harvard got away with a lot of holding calls and interference calls. I didn't see the game the same as you, that's for sure.

As fans, we never do.

I'm not a fan of dirty hockey and have been known to call our guys out when warranted. There was a hit laid by Tim Clifton last night that the announcers were postulating might be a penalty. To me, it was a good, clean hit. This is D-I hockey, not peewee or mites.
