Moved up to #2 in the USCHO poll and #1 in the USA Today poll :)

And still #1 in the Pairwise with Harvard nipping at our heels. Makes Thursday's and Saturday's games very important. Can't afford any letdowns and they need to bring their A-game both nights.

I don't think bringing their A-game will be a problem at Madison Square Garden. They're going to be flying on Saturday night. Really looking forward to the game, should be a lot of fun.

Can we get a solid game out of Aldworth this week?!?!

I was just about to post the same question. He hasn't really done much since the first week of the season. Hopefully he will settle in and start producing soon. Having a mother big gun on the team moving forward would be a huge help.

My buddy and Inwere talking about that today. Especially now that Rand played Hillbrich in place of Aldworth. It's kind of odd, wonder if he's having second thoughts about College.

Oddest move I think I've ever seen Rand do. Nothing against Hilbrich but there were several other options available. I haven't been able to figure out the Aldworth situation. Is he hurt/nursing an nagging injury, or is there something else we're not seeing? I've heard numerous accounts over the years that guys get sat when they don't pull their weight at practice, etc. It has to be something we're not privy to because with his apparent skill set, you'd think he'd be in the lineup every night trying to light the lamp.

Like MEUSA said, nothing against Hilbrich but any other option is better than him. He's a nice kid. Works hard. Players and coaches love him but he can't get out of his own way and while he did nothing wrong, I'd be hard pressed to ever fathom him doing something that leads to, say, a goal. If you're going to shake things up, move Barron to a checking line forward role, a role that he may be better suited. Put Shiplo back in who I thought was pretty good in his brief appearances earlier this year. A recent, non-productive Aldworth still has worlds more upside than Hilbrich. I would even say to give Canon Pieper a go. I'm not trying to be insensitive to Hilbrich but we've seen what he can do.

On a side note, I would say this would be a non issue is Andrew Taverner was somewhere on the radar. He's been an anomaly all year and most recently has been missing from the healthy scratches standing atop the Bank in King of the Hill style. Earlier this year he was the only player to not have his picture featured on the scoreboard when they cycle through the players prior to games. Then he was absent from the exhibition game and missed the first few games of the year. He came back was mildly affective but still gave us valuable minutes. Now, he seems to be gone again. ALSO, they never auctioned off a '39' came jersey like they weren't planning on there being one. What is up with this kid?! Anyone have any insight? As I say this, he'll probably reemerge in the lineup tonight.

I was almost thinking that Aldworth might be slipping with his studies or worst case, second guessing the College thing. I do not want to be that guy who thinks the end of the world when its probably just something small. Fingers Crossed its just nursing an injury or a needed attitude adjustment. I do think Shiplo would be nice to see out there again because you are right, he did look pretty good out there in his appearances. Maybe we are expecting too much out of the Freshies, we have been spoiled with the likes of Anas and L. Smith the past two years.

Unfortunately I will not be able to watch or listen to the game tonight or Saturday. I guess production goals are more important than QU Hockey... These **** Californians have a lot to learn!!!!

You need to get your priorities straight :)

I agree...It would be great to see more of Shiplo.

What I want to see is a complete effort tonight against the Dutchman. Come out, take control, and don't let up. Play your game and make whatever adjustments are needed to stay ahead of Union. Killer offense, solid D, and Garts like a rock. That'll do...

Go Q!

I think Rand's in game adjustments are my favorite thing to watch.

And Taverner appears to be playing tonight. Can't figure it out.

Great game tonight!!
I hope they can play with the same focus and energy on saturday. Nice to see Aldworth get a goal. I think it may take him a little longer to get to where we thought he be.

Done!

great first period. a lot of jump right out of the gate - keep it rolling!
Took control and set the tone right from the start.

Tonight was a good tune-up for Saturday. They just need to keep the intensity level up where it was tonight.

A very dominant game tonight. The forecheck was stifling Union deep all night. Even on the PP, Union had trouble gaining entry. Of course, the 3-on-5 shorty was a back-breaker. One of their better game this season for sure. Keep it up and take it to Harvard at the garden!

Forgot to give props to TSD for joining the 100 point club! An unsung hero for sure but he has come into his own this season. Great job Travis!

Absolutely!! Great Job TSD!

Also, Priske continues to impress. There were a lot of guys who had a great game tonight.

Who's going to the Garden on Saturday? We will be there :)

Unfortunately I decided not to go... a decision I'm sure to regret. I suppose I could still jump on a train and head down but it's not looking too good right now. Please rep the Q properly Bob (and everyone else that makes the trip).

I'll be there. Also heading to the pre-game reception.

It will be interesting to see how Harvard responds to their loss against BU last night. I was able to watch it on my DVR after the Q game last night and it was a doozy!
