Good way to start the season, but we could have used Barron on two of those goals around the net.

I was going to say the same exact thing. Every time they get very lackadaisical with their play right after a goal. But hey it's a part of the ride with Q, right?

From what I could hear with the radio broadcast it seemed like Anas, Landon, St. Denis, and Timmy Clifton all played within their playing schemes which is exactly what we need to see from them. As far as the penalties I feel like it would be nice to chalk that up to jitters and learning to play with their new linemates.

Speaking of the lines, what you all think about them?

I need to see them in person before I comment, but it did sound like there was already some chemistry which is a very good sign.

No I got an email back from them saying that Holy Cross did not have enough equipment to cover all their events and chose not to stream the hockey game.

That is terrible...Hockey is such a red headed step child there. They are doing major renovations to the basketball facilities (under the same roof as hockey but different arena) and a couple of other athletic buildings while Hockey is getting nothing!

Always enjoy making trips to QU and wish my Friars scheduled you guys more!

I'm pretty sure there will be a video stream today for anyone not able to make the game in person!

No reason not to get a sweep on opening weekend. Cleaning up the sloppy play in the defensive zone and eliminating the stupid penalties will be a great way to do that.

Im going to go bold prediction here and say Thomas Aldworth might not be in school for 4 years. He is impressive over the video feed. Big, strong with the puck, nifty, and quick. Nice shot by Soren off the hard work of Aldworth

The way Priskie and Aldworth played today was exciting. Actually the whole underclassman played very well as a whole.

Aldworth is the real deal.

Good effort today. Still lots to work on but everything seems to be in place. Gonna be an exciting team when they gel.

Providence loss is our gain. However I'm pretty sure they won't be upset coming off a national championship.

My biggest concern is Garteig. While none of yesterday's goals were soft, he needs to steal a few of those. I know it must be tough when you're not seeing a bunch of shots but we can't keep letting teams hang around down only a goal or two. When the D solidifies in front of him maybe it will be different. G needs to have a monster year in my opinion.

I agree with you. In my personal opinion I really dislike when a goalie leaves the net. I understand the positives that can come from a goalie that can lead the breakout but still I don't think he is good enough to do that.

Garteig comes out of the net more than Hartzell did and less than Clarke did, so the perfect amount. It was a miscommunication, that will happen

I honestly did not notice that but I doubt we would hear anything unless it was season ending. Rand doesn't like to give out injury information.

I am sitting over here trying to figure out how the can justify some of the moves in the Polls after this weekend. A team that splits moves up to 2nd? I just find how they baby the Hockey East and any school from the West to be offensive.
