Quinnipiac Bobcats 2010 Offseason

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2010 Offseason

As FYI, Scott Zurevinski is attending the Vancouver Canucks development camp (along with Union goalie Keith Kinkaid)

FWIW, was impressed with Zurevinski during the 15 periods (or was it games) I watched the Bobcats in Schenectady. Good gritty player with a nice skill set and size. Thought he and Glaicar were 2 of the best players on the ice during that series.

No surprise that it's Vancouver's camp that Scott's attending. There were rumors toward the end of the season that they were throwing some money his way in attempts to get him to leave the Q early. Clearly, he's on their radar and they are interested in his services. I think it's almost a no brainer that this will be his last year as a Bobcat. I'd like to see him take over a starring role for us this year.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2010 Offseason

Think Wong hit up a similar type of camp put on by the Canucks a few years back too.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2010 Offseason

Johnny Bates the local Vancouver scout recruited Zuri and Also in camp is Jack Downing from CT and UVM

Go Cats!

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2010 Offseason

I'm surprised they released the schedule before those games were added.
Princeton is our travel partner so it's sort of understandable that they can't find 2 available dates until all the other OOC stuff is settled for both teams.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2010 Offseason

Nothing too earth shattering from the schedule. Love the USA U-18 team making the trip up to Hamden.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2010 Offseason

I think it's a decent schedule with some pretty good OoC matchups. Those three 2-game series limit the number of opponents but it's a respectable schedule.

Starting the league schedule at Brown and Yale, and then Cornell and Colgate should be a good indication of how we'll do in the ECAC. It'll be interesting to see if we can handle Canisius any better than Niagara!

October 3rd can't come quick enough for me! ;)

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2010 Offseason

Rough start indeed. Wish the Yale/Brown series was farther back in the season as usual. OOC is good but no home series screams MUST MAKE HAMDEN TRIP!

Really glad we dumped Niagara for Cainsius. Now wait for them to play us really hard too.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2010 Offseason

Anyone have an idea as to when or if the Blue/Gold scrimmage will be held? Schedule lists St. Thomas as our only exhibition tilt on the 3rd. In the past I think the Blue/Gold game was listed as well.
