Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2010 Offseason
Jeany's doing his thing at the next level!
Former captain
Jean Marc Beaudoin scored the game winner and the division title clincher for the Bakersfield Condors last night in a 2-1 win over Idaho. JMB now has two goals in his first three games and is definitely making a name for himself.
On a down note,
Brandon Wong sat again for the Grand Rapids Griffins. He has been a healthy scratch for all five of his games up at the AHL level.
In other Bobcat alumni news...
Jamie Bates has tied the Stockton Thunder's single season points record. Bates now has 27 goals, 46 assists, 73 points for the Thunder this season. Hopefully, AHL parent club Springfield will catch wind of this and bring Jamie up for next year's squad.

With the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL, former D man and captain
Dan Henningson has had a quiet year. In 32 games, he's amounted 3 goals and 8 assists while registering a -3. On the positive side, Henny has been playing the past few games and scored two games ago.
ECAC All Decade second teamer
Reid Cashman is back up with the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL on a loan status from Cincinnati of the ECHL. He appeared in his first game back, not reaching the score sheet, in a 6-5 loss to Peoria. Glad to see Reid back at the AHL level.
Matt Sorteberg is back from injury and a mainstay on the blue line for the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL. Sorty has a goal and 5 assists since joining Utah from Idaho.
Here is a photo from the Grizzlies site of Sorty.

Bryan Leitch has had quite an interesting season. Leitch has played for six ECHL teams this year, which has to be some sort of record, no? He saw 17 games with Cincinnati, 4 with Alaska, 6 with Florida, 3 with Kalamazoo, 8 with Toledo and 10 with his current team the Victoria Salmon Kings. All together in 48 games Leitch has amounted 7 goals and 11 assists. Lately, he's been a healthy scratch for the Salmon Kings.
David Marshall has been playing very steadily with the Charlotte Checkers of the ECHL. He has collected 21 goals and 10 assists in 53 games this year. He also had a little stay with Lake Erie of the AHL earlier in the year.
This has been your Bobcat alumni update. Take care.
