It wasn't announced publicly yet and I jumped the gun just a bit. Turns out Johnny signed a contract with the Stingrays but they are still working on the details. Stay tuned for more.

Haha. It was a bit in the moment because of the obnoxious poster. I will be rooting for Yale and Cornell in the tourney. The Elis can match No. Dak offensively even without Backman, however, I worry about your goaltending facing an elite western club like the Sioux. Good luck regardless.

He was only overrated because everyone kept comparing him to his freshman year. The fact of the matter is that he's been one of our best offensive weapons this year, but he's done it quietly.

I have two distinct memories of Wonger. First was his performance last season against Colgate in the playoffs. He single-handedly sent us to the quarterfinals at SLU. As a matter of fact, this past weekend in Albany most of the SLU fans mentioned him as one of the QU thorns in their side. Second was his game-tying and game-winning goals against UMass earlier this season.

Try to imagine the last 3 years of Quinnipiac hockey without Brandon... we were much better off having him on our side.

Best of luck to him as he embarks on his pro career! :cool:

I remember after Wongers freshman year there were whispers from reliable people that he would leave QU to go pro if not then, but after his sophomore year. Good thing that didn't happen.

since im only about 45 minutes away from milwaukee, i might be heading to watch wonger play tonight(if he is in the lineup). let you guys know how he does!
