This is actually a bad match up for Quinnipiac. Capobianco has not just been hot lately he has been very good all year. Canisius is very much like the Michigan State team that won it all in 2007. The shots in that Minny game were 42-20 with most of the Gopher shots from the perimeter. They are outstanding shorthanded, right up there with the Bobcats. The difference with their team lately is that they have finally found an offense to go with their great D. This is a can't win match up for Quinnipiac in that even in winning they will be followed by naysayers. It is not an easy match up at all. A lot of the top teams have limped into the tournament. Minnesota has only won one game over anybody but Bemidji in the last month as well. BC had the injuries down the stretch and is reworking their lines and D pairings. Only Lowell has been consistently good from all the higher seeds. This could be the year where four 3 or 4 seeds make the Frozen 4.

I think the naysayers will be naysaying regardless of what matchup we get. That comes with being a team from the "outside".

I couldn’t care less what other people think of our hockey team, or their predictions.

I find it hard to describe the feeling knowing that on national television tonight Quinnipiac will be officially ranked the number one seed in the NCAA Division 1 Men’s Hockey Tournament. None of us know when this dream season will end, but it has been the most enjoyable year I have ever had rooting for a sports team.

2013 will be remembered for a long time at Quinnipiac - the opening of the medical school later this year, and the success of the hockey team on a national level. Not bad for the tiny school I graduated from years ago. Quinnipiac has come a long way, and I truly believe this is just the beginning…see you in Providence next week!

I would not rate 2 ties against Clarkson this year as being impressive. :( :D Clarkson vs Atlantic Hockey: 0-3-4 :eek:

Our game isn't even going to be televised... it will be online on ESPN3. That's terrible.

Get there at all costs. Who knows when this will ever happen again. Maybe next year or maybe never again. QU is the No. 1 seed in the country, so get a plane ticket or a bus ride or a mule and get to Providence.

Also, ESPN3 is available to more people than ESPNU, I think. We here in the boondocks don't get the U on the tube, but I sure as heck get ESPN3 with my dial-up connection.

...although to be honest, it would be pretty funny to see Canisius win a game. :D

Did anyone else catch Melrose saying "Hartnell" and "Longlois"? Is that guy really that bad? Wait... don't answer that.
