In other (meaningless) news... QU has recaptured its number 1 USCHO ranking despite unceremoniously exiting the ECAC tourney in the semi final game. I guess we can't say QU doesn't get the benefit of the doubt anymore.

At this point, that poll should basically mimic the PairWise, since that's the only ranking anyone goes by this time of year.

With a margin of only 5 points over Minny, and 18 over 3rd-place UML.

I guess we can't say QU doesn't get the benefit of the doubt anymore.

Whatever the reasons, I'll take it at this point. Maybe it'll help inspire them to show up and play like they were during the streak.

That was actually a somewhat turbulent month despite maintaining the ranking for 5 weeks. ;)

Looks like Lowell took a lot of the first place votes away from Minnesota, so while we might not have gained anymore respect from last week, Lowell's success had a larger impact on the Gophers than it did the Bobcats

Also, for whoever is wondering, Saturday's game will be simulcasted on ESPN3 and NESN. So those that will not be in attendance and do not feel like watching the game on the computer, there will be a TV option as well.

I went to the first tournament game against Cornell back in 2002 and there is no chance I will miss this one being 30 minutes from my house.

I just heard from the box office that they should have tickets sometime tomorrow. Being an impatient sap, I ordered tickets through TicketMaster to make sure I had them in hand. I feel so much better now. ;)

Thank God i'll be at the game and won't have to listen to Barry. What's the over/under on how many times he refers to the teams as "franchises"? :rolleyes:

You made the right call. I just called the box office and they said Quinnipiac's allotment was only a couple of hundred tickets which is kind of lame considering it seats 12,000. Each school should get at least 1500 tickets with the rest going to the General Public. I am going to order through ticketmaster tonight.

I hope everyone realizes that there will be more than plenty of tickets to go around. Last year's northeast regional at the DCU center (where BC played) didn't even fill up half the arena. Add in the fact that you're dealing with Easter weekend, I can't see the number of QU fans in attendance even approaching a 1000.

I think for the Saturday game you will see a good QU showing from the Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut contingent and if we are lucky some people from New York and New Jersey but if they advance to Sunday that QU crowd could be horrendous. Lucky for me I don't celebrate Easter so I don't have that problem.

Mark, you are much better off, the school allotments are usually lousy upper seats, go on the northeast regional site, they let you pick your seats there, the four blacked out sections are all up high.

I was told the QU tix were in sections 118-120 which are in the lower level at the Dunk. The tickets I bought are in 116, so we'll be close to the rest of the fans (and will probably be able to move at will if the crowd is light on Saturday).

I'm just a little anal when it comes to stuff like this, though. I need to know as early as possible that I'm in the door. I would probably have a nervous breakdown walking up to the arena box office on game day without tickets. :eek:

The page formatting is a bit screwed up, but we're tied with Minny for #1 in the USAToday poll with 473 points each. UML right on our heels in 3rd with 463 points.

I think this is correct the QU-Canisius will be on NESN, as well as ESPN3. This is HUGE for QU Fans who cannot make it to Providence.

Also, most all agree that the game will NOT sell-out and that QU fans and families will be able to get tickets "at the door"

So now that we are in the playoffs can I start calling you Connecticut? Take that #1 rank and beat Boston over the head with it.
