Question for North Dakota fans?

Re: Question for North Dakota fans?

You don't think the WCHA is going to restructure their conference/nonconference schedule? Especially when you have two teams dropping out? I mean hell, that's why that stupid fat bastard in wisconsin wants out of the WCHA. Or at least that's the only rational explanation I can surmise.

No. The WCHA has been at 28 games for quite awhile, and hasn't been below 26 since the early 70s. The league has only had 12 teams for less than a season, so I don't see any drastic moves if they go back to 10 teams. I don't think they'd drop below 28 unless they had fewer than 8 teams in the league.

There's also a lot of rumor surrounding Notre Dame and Miami potentially coming to the WCHA.

Good point. But there's been a lot of complaining, lately, about the massive load of conference games. I can't help but think they change this. Especially considering nearly all the major rivalries are upset by this. Sure, you still have UND-DU, DU-CC, and the intra-Minnesota matchups, but quite frankly, no fewer than four teams lose their primary rival in this move. You almost have to open it up.
