Providence College...the battle goes on...Boston twice in 15

I hope this is the start of something big down the stretch. Friars seemed to be almost flawless. The Huskies were certainly in the wrong place at the wrong time. Uconn displayed character in the 3rd period, they did not resort to gooning things up and they continued sacrificing their bodies blocking shots.

I thought the same thing, especially after going into the start of the 3rd they were 2 men down. Also thought they played along very nicely to get those last 20 minutes off the clock. Extra passing a lot of play along the board in swarms

On Drew Brown night his classmate Ross Mauerman became the first Friar since Jon Rheault to get 100 points.

At this point if in the 8+ games PC has left he can put up some semblance of what he has done since The CC series he would end up with about the same point totals as freshman and sophomore years. He is what he is and last year was his career year

In the meantime Saracino is positioned very well to join the 100 point club next year. He is 27 points shy, which if he goes on his pace the rest of the year he'll need about 20 points next year.

A little longer shot to do it, but with a real chance is Jankowski, 37 points shy so figuring 5-7 points before the year ends, he would need to have his career year as a senior

You really have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find something bad to say after last night.

I am disappointed...I go to watch good hockey and that wasn't good hockey.

Did you see the note, with last nights win, Providence has won 17 games 3 years in a row since 98-99 through 00-01. My god Jon was a wide eyed optimistic pup in those days, not the broken down cynical old man he is today. Looking ahead since we should find a way to win 20 this year it will be the first time we won back to back 20 win seasons since the 4 year streak from 88-89 through 91-92. Remember Lyle Wildgoose, those were his 4 years. Then too PC91 was far from the crotchety old grouse he is today. Further as we are positioned 10th in PWR if we keep going and get an NCAA bid 2 years in a row that will be the first time since.......well since never been done before

No ZLax in my 40 years of going to games Friar games I have met many true Friar fans and you sir are certainly not one!

Ok so now the Friars hit the road for 2 in South Bend. Irish took 3 out of 4 up at Maine this weekend. They sit one point behind the Friars and one point in front of Vermont. I'll take a split at this point to keep them behind. I think best for BU to keep winning since it's going to be hard to catch them. Not sure who they have left but if it's some of our close chasers then put some losses on them. BC is another team might be hard to catch as they are doing their usual end of year hear we come stuff.

So UML, PC, ND and Vermont look to be battling for 3 and 4 position in the league. 6 games to go. Get the split with ND, then at least 3 out of 4 from UMASS and all 4 from Maine would be a great finish. UMASS will be tough up there, they took care of UML last night.

The broken down cynical line is my favorite thing today.

I don't think UML is UML any more. UMASS troubles me because of the CC and Brown series, but PC should win those games. Never trust the alternator theives. Need to put some pressure on BC and UML and separate ourselves from the UVM/Notre Dame/NU/UCONN cluster.
Notre Dames home record is awful. PC needs efforts like last night.

LGF!

But did you have the famous purple pants then

Worse! I've always been a fashion disaster. I don't know why any girl had anything to do with me based on that alone!!!
