Drew Brown night is going well.

10-1 skating goons.

UMASS and the SMT's were very helpful this evening.

Not good enough...Nichols made several outstanding saves and deserved the W...UConn missed a 2 on 1 late in the game in which Gillies had no chance. Someone said Gillies got a stick on it but it was down the opposite end of me.
.

Paging Mr Zlax. What can you find wrong about tonight. I know the Ellis should have had that shot. 4 players couldn't even get a point tonight.

Well you better lay into Nichols the way you've dumped on Gillies and more recently I see you dumping on other teams goalies in their threads (Boyle).

Of corse by now since you clearly read on line and the film has been posted so you have seen Gillies did make that spectacular save which you neatly kind of dismissed

4th time PC scored double digit goals in a Hockey East game. Last time was Pooley's first year vs Northeastern. That was 12-10-94. Also on a 12-10 they dropped a 10 spot on Lowell (1988). In 1989 they got 11 vs Lowell. In all those games though the other team got more than a goal. So this was the widest margin a victory ever in a Hockey East game

This game has also put Providence ahead of last year scoring in conference games. Things even out, just too bad to have so many in one game. Should be noted though scoring in up probably a bit more than the pace PC has topped last year's mark throughout the league. This game alone upped PC's gpg by half a goal

Nichols was getting peppered in his time between the pipes tonight...I don't know what you expect a goalie to do in that situation. UConn's defense was terrible tonight giving up three 1 on 1 situations on that PP...only one reason that game wasn't 6-0 after the first was Nichols,

Disappointing weekend not getting all four points and PC continues to have the "other" results go their way. A split at ND is necessary and then sweep the last four games of the year.

No he let 25% of the shots he saw in. Defense isn't an excuse in your book when you b:tch about Gillies so it holds no water now. His real problem last night was he drew (no pun intended) the short straw to be the goalie on the most emotional night of the year for the team--Drew Brown night. Cavanagh's best move would after the 2nd period would have been to leave a note for the referee pinned to the locker room door that they left the building and for him to have the team walk down Admiral street and buy the team all a beer at Brad's and tell them as the old song goes "momma told me there would be days like this", then just wipe the game out of their mind.

In your reply you made no positive statements even though that was the 2nd worst beat down any hockey east team administered to another team this year. You just say how disappointed you were. You realize in the 7 league series they have completed no one has swept 4 points from them and that includes #1 BU who also got 3 points.

I am disappointed...I go to watch good hockey and that wasn't good hockey.

I hope this is the start of something big down the stretch. Friars seemed to be almost flawless. The Huskies were certainly in the wrong place at the wrong time. Uconn displayed character in the 3rd period, they did not resort to gooning things up and they continued sacrificing their bodies blocking shots.
