Providence College on the road to Tampa

My point stands...he is inconsistent. Teams don't come into PC and say we got to shut down Mingola. A guy who went 16 games played and 18 overall with a total of one goal!

BTW, Rooney is so great on defense (rolls eyes), he is even on the year which is second worse on the team for everyday players behind Lemos. He only has ten blocked shots on the year. Jankowski has 15 and we all know Jankowski is no defensive shutdown guy. Rooney was paired up with UNH's top line and was on the ice for both of their goals. I just think if you aren't getting Rooney to shut down a team or score, why play him?

I think we need to really look at what is going in with the recruiting...PC lost another recruit on Wednesday and by my count is at least the third one since the start of the season.

Borek is a much different person in the recruiting trail and wasn't too successful near the end of his unh career but did bring in talent early to Durham like JVR.

Wow! So by your school of thought, a player like Austin Czarnik, who had 0 goals in the first 19 games last year, but 21 assists was an inconsistent player? I don't think anyone has said Mingoia is unstoppable, but there is no doubt he is invaluable to that team's success. Czarnik finished with 9 goals and 35 assists in 40 games (about the same pace Mingoia is on, 8 goals 19 assists in 24 games) I'm sure everyone thought his Senior year was a bust too! Right Xlax? And again your twisted viewpoint on Rooney, doesn't it make sense that your plus/minus is going to be lower when your facing the other teams top line night in and out? Your job is to try to keep them in check. Isn't Rooney a captain? Do you know anything about character and chemistry? no response needed on that one, we know the answer. Oh yeah, you included Parisi, the other Captain in your list of team disappointments. Lehman must be an idiot to have made those two wear the C's. I've never trashed a College player like you, but it is fun calling you a Moron! Why don't you come over to the Union thread and tell us Mike Vecchione is a disappointment because he only has 5 goals and 12 assists in 24 games. I wouldn't trade him for anyone on YOUR team! Disclaimer...no disrespect intended. 😀

My grandfather , a farmer, was a man of few words. One of his pearls of wisdom was, "if you hear a ******* braying in the field, do you bray back"? Bray on Xlax, bray on

Agreed on Vechionne. But, not even for Walman? Ghostisbehere act 2

Re: Providence College on the road to Tampa

Maybe Leaman should be playing a consistent 18 man group instead of flipping lines/players every period. That fourth line has been crazy with how many guys have been put into roles in interesting positions like Cromwell playing against BC and Behling playing last night.

Why does a coach down by two goals and with a PP not pull his goalie?

There are players on this team who have gotten way too comfortable especially the seniors like Rooney, Mingola, Parisi, and Gilmour specifically. They all have been extremely inconsistent this season. Rooney has three goals on the year and gets his name in the lineup every night. It has been a problem with Leaman's teams since coming to PC that the seniors have regressed from their junior season. Why has this happen now for five straight years?

He's not as much calling out players as he is head hunting the coaching staff.
Fire Leaman! Fire Borek!

Jerry York wouldn't stand a chance with Zlax. Two of his BC teams failed to qualify for the NCAA's the year following a national title.

Let's all bow at Leaman's feet...he is a God and no one can question him. If you think there isn't issues with this team, I don't know what you are watching. Playing Cromwell in the biggest regular season game when the kid hasn't played all year. Come on!

The man has resurrected PC hockey and led them to a national title last season. His team is currently 17-5-4 and sitting at #6 in PWR. A lot of teams would love to have those issues.
2010-2011. . . 8-18-11

You can question him and his coaching abilities all you want. Makes you look like an idiot IMO. Just sayin'.

Dope.

Re: Providence College on the road to Tampa

Finally is right. They dominated and deserved this game. Ellis was solid when he needed to be. Maine's goalie was tough though, and because of him Maine very well could have stole this game.

.

Can you please be a little more specific to this complaint. Since the next line included a complaint about Borek kind of wonder if your Wildcat colors are showing once again

Borek's recruiting slacked off at unh...if you check out the results lately but he had some great talent early. So we will see if it was unh admissions (unh fans think this) that affected the drop off in talent

Re: Providence College on the road to Tampa

Last night's game was insane; glad they came away with the win. Maine's goalie played out of his mind and it was a very fun game to watch.
