Providence College on the road to Tampa

Re: Providence College on the road to Tampa

Looking forward to seeing what Zlax finds wrong with the banner raising. :)

Enjoy and congrats again. If we had to lose to anyone, I'm happy it was you guys.

Re: Providence College on the road to Tampa

And Foley played as well, he did take short shifts but looked good.......I did think Holy Cross played a good game but they lacked the depth of PC so they slowed a bit, and PC really did not play all that good, if they don't start playing better it will be a long year......they did show some glimpses of good team hockey but not as many as I thought they should be showing by now

That banner does look good and the new scoreboard is impressive

Typical Holy Cross game...play hard for 60 minutes but just don't have the talent. The second goal PC scored was terrible goaltending and Berard can't be happy with his freshman goalie giving that up.

Lots of noshows tonight on the PC side...Hennessey tries hard but just doesn't have the talent to play at this level. He is constantly on the ice and can't take a bump. I thought Florentino was terrible in the first 20 minutes of this game with three terrible turnovers in his own end.

Move on and take the W but this team shouldn't be tested until the BU games.

Re: Providence College on the road to Tampa

Good call.....we dropped to number 3

PC went up 32 points in the polls...UNO is the one that skyrocketed with 85 more points and picking up 7 first place votes. North Dakota lost first place votes but picked up more points.

Also picked up 19 points and two first place votes in the USA Hockey poll.

Polls are fickle.

It is interesting that when trying to buy tickets in the lower bowl there are few,if any, available but when watching the web stream tonight it appears the majority of lower bowl seats on the penalty box side are empty. Who are those ticket owners who are perennial no shows?

Looks like a good student turnout again. Will they stay for sixty minutes?

There are those jerks that stay in the FOF room because they are too scared to kick out the kids who stole seats on the glass at warm ups. Just sayin. :p

I'd say at least 50% made their way to the exits after period 2. most of the upper bowl behind the OSU goalie took off. Now let's see how many show up two nights in a row for at least 2 periods.

Oh, Friars won the game 2-1, so it's not like there wasn't a reason to stick around for the third period with the score 2-1 going into period 3.
