Providence College on the road to Tampa

Re: Providence College on the road to Tampa

I am sure we will see many changes as to who dresses and who sits as the season goes on.....just hope the team accepts it as they grow

Off to a good start, a second win would have been better but I will take a tie and home to Holy Cross for the banner raising......I assume the ceremony will be starting before the scheduled game time, any word on the start of it

Ceremony starts at 7pm. Game starts at 7:30pm. I assume they do the banner raising then the teams have their pre-start warm up time.

Yea, injuries happen and those guys have many players ahead of them on the depth chart based on their playing time last year and who has been playing this season (Gamez)

Without seeing tape three goals allowed on 22 shots for a save percentage of .863 is worrisome...still better goaltending than PC got the last time we played them when PC's "All-American" goalie gave up five on 34 shots for an .852 save percentage.
You just can't help yourself can you. He won the national *** championship. He is gone and you still are dumping on Gillies. I can refer you to an excellent therapist.

And your point being? Scott Clemmensen won a national title too. Shows you that PC can win a title with a goalie with a GAA around 3.25 in the postseason and still win a title.

Ellis was alright this weekend and the Friars shouldn't really be tested till BU comes to town as Colgate has struggled out of the gate.

Re: Providence College on the road to Tampa

Jon Gillies, great coaching and team/player dedication is why they won, in that order. To say otherwise means you don't know hockey and or have an agenda

We're #2, We're #2, We're #2!!! I don't care if it's early in the season. I'll take it! Good job Friars. Let's see how long we can hold on to that spot.

Also no Gillies= no hardware. Just sayin.

Obligatory "Poles mean nothing!" comment.
Nice weekend.

Re: Providence College on the road to Tampa

Did all the regular posters on this thread get seats for Friday night who needed them?
