Providence College on the road to Chicago

Re: Providence College on the road to Chicago

Anxious to hear any news on Gamez after he passed out on the bench in first period and Monk when he left with what announcer said looked like a hand injury

Re: Providence College on the road to Chicago

Guess need to root for BU kids to show up against the BC kids the week to put a fork in BC's chances....

And Go Harvard and Go Union in ECAC tourney..

Re: Providence College on the road to Chicago

Been playing with the PairWise Predictor and while our best chance is for BC to lose, we can still get in with a lot of scenarios if BC wins HE.

I actually think we get in as long as the BC and Quinnipiac both don't win.

Good article in todays ProJo says he is wearing a heart monitor, feels great and felt fine right after the incident.....he had a medical problem a few years back that may have caused this

Re: Providence College on the road to Chicago

Hahaha. I thought I ran every scenario.

I guess we are in unless both BC & Wisconsin win.

Last night’s action got a few more teams into the tournament and has narrowed the field down as to what needs to be done.

What has changed?

- Cornell, Penn State, North Dakota and Notre Dame are now in.

What does this mean?

14 Spots are Taken

Atlantic Hockey – Winner of Robert Morris-Air Force

Big Ten – Minnesota, Penn State

ECAC Hockey – Harvard, Union, Cornell

Hockey East – Massachusetts-Lowell, Boston University, Notre Dame

NCHC – Denver, Minnesota-Duluth, Western Michigan, North Dakota

WCHA – Winner of Bowling Green-Michigan Tech

That means there are two spots left and four teams left in contention.

Wisconsin, Ohio State, Providence, Boston College

Wisconsin and Boston College must win to get in.

Ohio State and Providence can only wait and see

Re: Providence College on the road to Chicago

Go Riverhawks! Please Please Please

Not sure PSU will have enough in tank after going into 2 OTs last night for them to beat the Badgers

BC after the week off before the HE Quarters seems to have gotten it back together....

It will be a battle of the frosh goalies with almost the same names...Woll vs Wall....

Re: Providence College on the road to Chicago

We will see just how many supporters this team has......we are in Providence so there is no real excuse for an empty building and have a real good shot to get to Chicago if we get to the second game.......they do have a real top shelf foe in the first round one that could go all the way.....Harvard is built for this year with a large group of seniors........go PC

I like PC chances in this bracket. The young kids have come along as the season went on.

Re: Providence College on the road to Chicago

Providence College may have to throw a Mayor's Cup game to Brown.
The Friars get to stay in Providence again with a low seeding even though they are not the regional hosts. Brown is.
If the NCAA did not consider attendance while making the pairings, the Friars would have been more likely to end up somewhere other than Providence.
Can they take advantage of their good fortunate again?

They are the last team in and playing the top team so I think its the draw not the city

Did Providence complain about having to play the national championship in Boston against Boston University two years ago? No, we don't talk about that because BU lost the game.
