"ripping onn him"
Not ripping on him at all. Even if so I would assume you are bright enough(reader of comics makes me question it) to grasp a player we all know vs a made up hande on an anonymous dboard is different

He made a big statement anonymously. that he has 2 friends who didnt come to pc because they specificaly didnt want to play for the coach. thats bs.
So, essentially, it's ok to rip on someone if they're just another message board poster, but we can't rip on hockey players because they're hockey players? That's ridiculous - hockey players are just regular people, too.

And, you make plenty of "big" statements anonymously, So, who are your sources?

comicbook guy? who is your kid and who are your connections
uin 34,000 posts you have not told us
Because, unlike you, I don't claim to have any inside knowledge.

Re: Providence - 2009-10 What is in the glass?

"sources"?

your 36 year old brother on his mac living in the basement does not count as a source
More proof of your hypocrisy - you yell at people for assuming to know anything about people they don't know, and yet, you do it all the time.

Re: Providence - 2009-10 What is in the glass?

Seeing that his family had zero connections at PC and huge ties at Brown, I am sure he stuck it to their coach...

Why would anyone want to go to PC right now?

A question that keeps coming up -- that you never once bother to respond to.

You're a piece of work Hokyfraud. For someone who wants people to "spread the positivity" even during the utter lowpoint of a program's history, it's ironic to see someone promoting as much banal internet message board flaming as your tiresome rhetoric.

Saying "you're lying" to people you disagree with is idiotic and brainless. You add nothing to any conversation. Don't like the point someone is making -- let's follow it up by saying "cut and paste." Don't like statistics that are being trotted out there? Let's respond with "shut up Eeyore." Where's all this insight and knowledge you think you possess? Never once produced it in any thread I've seen. Not once. Where's the evidence?!?! Show it!!

And stop lecturing college students on going to class when your grammar and thought process bear witness of someone who couldn't finish their GED. Whatever educational institution produced you ought to be ashamed...

25 Year top 4 program in Hockey east
One of the top colleges in the country
Enrolled Freshman Class: Average grade point average of 3.39 on a 4.0 scale.
Approximately 38% graduated from high school in the top 10%percent of their class, and 64% fell within the top 20%.
23 valedictorians and 14 salutatorians; 10 National Merit finalists, semi-finalists, and commended students, and 435 members of the National Honor Society.
Average SAT score was 579 for the critical reading, 583 for math, and 589 for writing.
Most popular majors are biology, management, psychology, special/elementary education, marketing, political science, and accountancy.
214 participated in student government (27 were class presidents), 635 played sports (235 were captains), 135 were on newspaper, radio, and yearbook staffs, and 723 took part in community service projects in high school.
In the 2010 edition of U.S. News’ America’s Best Colleges:

Providence ranked #2 among master’s level universities in the North region.
PC’s 87% average graduation rate is the highest among 574 master’s level universities nationwide.
Providence's average freshmen retention rate of 92% ranks it among the top five schools nationally in its designated category.
The College is ranked among the top ten schools in the “Great Schools, Great Prices” category -- which relates academic quality to the net cost of attendance – among master’s level colleges and universities in the North.

great city

Probably the top academic school in Hockey East. Good luck with job placement from Merrimack, Maine etc. conrary to popular belief, the vast amjority dont go to the NHL. But if they did, hard to get better connections than Lou L, Ron W, Brian B, Tim A etc....
More local New England kids on roster than most if not all Hockey east schools
Tim Army, Stan Moore, Dave Berard. Highly respected hockey coaches.
A program ona down cycle, which means incoming players will get a chance to be part of a resurection, which will happen.

Great fans!!!

Re: Providence - 2009-10 What is in the glass?

Ever see the commercial that says, 300000 NCAA div 1 athgletes and less then 1% go pro afterwards? Awful shortsigted to go to an iferior school for a few more wins and spend the next 45 years paying for it....

The college guides can tell you something about Providence College. For example, U.S. News has ranked Providence College as one of the top two master’s level colleges and universities in the North for twelve consecutive years. (The 574 universities in this category offer a full range of undergraduate and master’s level programs and are ranked within four geographic regions.)

In the 2010 edition of U.S. News’ America’s Best Colleges:

Providence ranked #2 among master’s level universities in the North region.
PC’s 87% average graduation rate is the highest among 574 master’s level universities nationwide.

The College is ranked among the top ten schools in the “Great Schools, Great Prices” category -- which relates academic quality to the net cost of attendance – among master’s level colleges and universities in the North.
But these accolades, though instructive, provide just one small glimpse of the Providence College experience. Like any dynamic community, PC is greater by far than the simple sum of all its interesting parts.

2. Show me where I ever said I have sources.
You asked for PcFriars13's sources because he was "making big statements anonymously". You do this all the time, and yet, you have never stated your sources.

he said sources, not me...
What does that have to do with making assumptions about him?

Wrong again, Hokydad.

Face it, you're a fraud, and no better than all of the people you attack. You try to act like you are, but as soon as anyone calls you out, you either change the subject, or resort to personal attacks.

Never said I had sources. Friends, yes, sources, jugheads like you have them so they can claim they are anonymous.

Again with the personal attacks.

Ok, then who are your "friends"?

(FTR, I'm pretty sure PcFriars13 never said he had "sources" either. Of course, I've never claimed it, and you keep implying that I have, so I guess it wouldn't matter. Never let the facts get in the way of your argument!)

Re: Providence - 2009-10 What is in the glass?

bu/bc/unh/pc top 4 over last 25 years, Maine if you only counted last 20

I cant argue with a guy who gets worse rep then I do and tries to have people like him

Your wrong. Prove it with a number over the last 25 years. Do you know how to add and divide? If you do, then you would find that PC is not in the top 4 ov er the last 25 years. It's not hard to do if you know simple math. Here is a hint: Go to the HockeyEast web page, they have the standings for every year. That should be a start for you to prove your point. Good Luck , keep digging and back up your statement.

PS. I'm not trying to make people like me. Prove that I am. Keep digging.

Re: Providence - 2009-10 What is in the glass?

bu/bc/unh/pc top 4 over last 25 years, Maine if you only counted last 20

Maine made it's 1st of 7 straight appearances in the title game 23 years ago and won it's first title 21 years ago, so you're wrong there. How about the rest?

Number of times each team has been a Top 4 seed in the Hockey East playoffs:

BU 20
UNH 18
ME 17
BC 16
PC 11
NU 7
UML 6
UVM 2
UMA 2
MC 1

Nope, that doesn't fit your argument. How about this:

Number of times reaching the Hockey East Semifinals:

BU 18
ME 17
BC 16
UNH 14
UML 13
PC 10
NU 6
UMA 3
MC 1
UVM 1

Nope, not that either.

Perhaps you have some stats to back up your claim? (I doubt it)

Re: Providence - 2009-10 What is in the glass?

I'm not sure who Hokydad is more ill equipped to argue with: the guy who has been following PC hockey for decades, the actual PC student or the UNH fan who Hokydad isn't even aware actually roots for a team other than PC. Like Hokydad.

As our friend UnhCat07 would say "trainreck sity".
