Pre-Season Favorites for the Frozen Four?

Please tell me you are kidding.

After graduating 11 seniors from a Frozen Four team at a school with zero history of success? That will have only 9 upper classmen on the entire roster this season? That lost its senior goaltender and most of it's defense corps? Only 5 or 6 guys that played a big role in last season are gonna be back.

I'd not be shocked if Quinnipiac doesn't even have a winning season. Not saying they won't, however.

There is no way this team duplicates last season on probably just about any level. I'd be shocked if they even just got back in the tourney this season.

Quinnipiac has the best line in the country returning Jones, Jones, and Peca. They have Jordan Samuels-Thomas who destroyed St. Cloud State in the Frozen Four. They have three experienced proven defensemen coming back. They have an outstanding incoming class. Consistent hockey success for QU is the norm. To say otherwise demonstrates tremendous ignorance about the status of QU hockey and New Haven area hockey, Yale\QU.

Minnesota
Quinnipiac
Boston College
UMass Lowell

Holy **** do we need that much pressure? Welcome to a whole new screwed up world.

Actually I'm surprised I haven't seen lowell get that much attention yet.

I still don't understand this new world. Rules remain the same... One game at a time, best effort each night

no doubt UNH - Solid goaltending. Best top 4 def in HE and great scoring returning. Expect to see them there at the end.

UIC Flames
Penn State
Northern Arizona University
Moorhead (MN)

Penn State takes the title by default after the other three teams fail to show up to the Frozen Four, after winning their regions by default because the other 9 teams in their regions all forfeit "for the good of the sport".
And before you say there is no way that could happen, just remember that Yale is the defending National Champion...

Re: Pre-Season Favorites for the Frozen Four?

While it's nice to see Lowell get some attention, most of the fans realize that this needs to be the year. Graduating a talented senior class and will possibly see Wilson, Folin, and Helleybuck bolt for the NHL/AHL after this season. That's a lot of points, top goalie, and argueably the best defenseman.

At best, they have the third best goaltending in Hockey East behind Providence and Lowell.

Notre Dame (as much as it pains me).

ND has 14 of its top 15 scorers returning...including 9 would be seniors and Mario Lucia. Having said that, not sure about this years losses.

Mr. & Mrs. tDon agree with this.
