I don't know Texas, but Austin does not strike me as flyover. Madison with warmer weather. My bro is extremely liberal but lived in Houston for a while and was very surprised by all that it had to offer in the way of arts and culture. Maybe it's just like most large cities: if you have money, it has a lot to offer.

I would love to see his medical records. Other than his psych stuff he presents like someone with some sort of cognitive disturbance. If I saw him as a patient I would be doing a big work up. (and he would fit right in with the early cognitive decline patients hanging at he nurses station in a nursing home. Excellent confabulation skills.
