POTUS: It Can Happen Here Again

They do care about the fact that billionaires run all our politics and regular people get no say. So... want to win elections? At least tell them we're going to kick the (((billionaires))) down the well.

I mean, I recommend we then go and do it, for a better world, but in any case we need to treat them the way R treats their Christian right. Indulge their idiocies and milk their votes.

Indeed, Thats what Dumpie told them he was gonna do. Anyone with a brain knew he never had any intention of doing so, but these people were either so desperate or so gullible that they bought his spiel hook line and sinker.

Re: POTUS: It Can Happen Here Again

Umm...I think that's already happened. ;)
Winner winner chicken dinner (I spent the last semester working at a nursing home and I swear he would fit in with the line of patients in Geri-chairs by the nurses station). Physical impairment to stop him from expressing himself would do

I was talking more broadly. Anyone with a brain is going to vote against Trump, but what happens after that?

Too many people are too obsessed with things bring exactly equal. Just because one is less bad than the other doesn’t make it good.

But it does beat the alternative.

Even a fukkin' idiot such as yourself should be able to comprehend that.

Also, you keep voting for 'less bad', and pretty soon you are at 'good'.

Re: POTUS: It Can Happen Here Again

Too many of you fear the world too much. This country had a problem 30-40 years ago. That problem was the clear majority of the voting public bought into Republican BS. That's why I laugh when 20 year old Sanders supporters start talking about the Dems selling out or giving in. In the 1980's, which I lived through and remember all of, 60's style socialist wasn't just out, it was waaaaayyy out.

That's changed for many reasons, from demographics (Gen X and Millennials outnumbering Boomers) to a succession of successful Dem Presidents (Clinton, Obama) vs fuk up ones in the GOP (the Bushes, now Chump). Dem leaners outnumber Goopers. BUT, they have to vote. Our job isn't convincing Trump voters to switch. Its to convince infrequent voting lefties to start and keep participating.

Chump and crew are dredging up Ken Starr for a reason. Its to drive base turnout with a well recognized hyperpartisan figure from their past. I doubt anybody in the right is even listening to Starr's arguments, let alone parsing it for hypocrisy. This isn't being done out of strength but out of weakness. Base turnout, as opposed to building a broader coalition, is the ONLY card the KKK has to play.

So, if all the Dems vote, and all the GOP votes, do the math. The high point for Dem voters in a Presidential election is Obama in 2008 who drew almost 70M votes. The high point for a Republican is the almost 63M drawn by Chump, which compares to the 62M Romney and Bush II won. No amount of realistic electoral college nuances will allow Chump to win 270 electoral votes if he's facing a 7M deficit in the popular vote. So get off your arses and vote Dem, or don't complain when you get a knock on the door from people wearing armbands and stupid mustaches.

First rule of medicine- never ask a question you don't want an answer to.

Nothing to see here. Move along

Re: POTUS: It Can Happen Here Again

These as-sholes again.

The Trump administration has announced that Border Patrol official Rodney Scott will be named the agency’s new chief, following the retirement of Carla Provost at the end of this month after more than two decades there. Provost, you may all remember, was exposed last year as having been a member of a violent and racist Facebook group that mocked the deaths of kids in her agency’s custody. Now with her leaving, the administration is probably just glad to no longer get bugged about that anymore, right?

Except, as it turns out, Provost’s successor was also in this group.

But no heads on pikes or stuff like that.
