Even the NYP's John Podhoretz (far from a Trump guy) sees this as "beyond the bounds of what is even remotely acceptable ... There is literally no evidence on offer in these memos or from BuzzFeed that any single sentence in these documents is factual or true.". It's what was done to Mr. Obama for eight or more years: make up something that sounds like it might be true and run with it because some suckers will believe it. #ConfirmationBias

The story is that the dossier is sufficiently plausible that Obama and Trump were both briefed on it, whether or not the underlying salacious details are in fact true.

I'd feel sorry for Trump, except he spent the last 18 months spreading the same crap about everyone else.

I'd say the dossier was deemed "plausibly damaging", not "sufficiently plausible." There's simply no way to know if any of it is true, without corroboration. As it is, you or I could easily have written the same document.
As much as I would love to see a full-bore impeachment later this month, I also think it's important for us not to sink to the same level as the Trumpeters; That will not clear the waters or improve the national discourse. It's also important not to ignore the allegations out of some horribly misplaced hero-worship of Trump that many people seem to have. I hope there are a few hundred people working on tracking down the actual source(s) for interrogation.

I guess understanding the reason why our potential Secretary of State is lying under oath about ties to Russia isn't important enough to make that information public with the disclaimer that it is still unverified, as opposed to say, important unverified information on how somebody makes their risotto.

No, my point was that since you have the IQ of a breezy spring day, I kind of doubted you were actually sitting in the Oval Office for that meeting. Which means, gasp, it must have been reported somewhere. Another fake news scandal uncovered!

They weren't reporting the fake news. That's the whole point of the CNN video imbedded within your link. They didn't report on it at all, but Trump's hit man said they were involved, lumping them in with BuzzFeed. CNN's crew then went on to say that they never reported on the dossier or its contents. Are you watching the same video as the rest of the world?
