Did you guys see the kidnap/torture video of the supposed Trump voter in Chicago, going around FB? Things are getting out of hand. Attackers (and videographer) are black, but the violence is so extreme that even BLM is disavowing the result. If you haven't seen it, probably best not to look for it - it's that ugly - but be aware of the urgent need for peace and love. They're misguided voters, not demons to be slain.

It would interesting to see how much change there would be if there were a revote today. How many ambivalent nonvoters would show up, and how many sucker voters would wake up. I'm thinking a lot of the former and not many of the latter.

You mean the event that's been national news for two days, been mentioned in at least three separate threads, and shared repeatedly on Facebook?

Nope, haven't seen that at all. (And yeah, I'm being overly snarky, but seriously, this story isn't exactly one that's flown under the radar)

Oh, and it was a mentally disabled kid, not a trump voter. The attackers just said "(Fark) Trump" on the video. Not that it makes a difference, but let's keep the facts straight.

Kep & jj would have to stop calling HRC names or it wouldn't make any difference. I learned here the other day that they were the reason turnout was suppressed.

The funny thing about the outrage from the right on this Chicago situation is that those four girls are likely facing 30 year sentences including charges for hate crimes.

Justice will be done, and they're still going to complain about how awful the black community is.

No, a wise man who used to post here (PCM), taught me that anybody can say anything.

Back when it was President-elect Obama, the righty pundits were talking by extension (he mentioned Australia, he's comin' fur ur gunz!); now, Trump's saying stuff himself. OK, you bet; I fully acknowledge that point.

But, many of you right here, all election cycle long, said Trump is nothing but a school yard bully. A bully yaps a lot but does nothing (the equivalent of a hockey chirper). And so far, he's done nothing. Yes, tDon has so far done ... nothing. Until that changes, he's a lot of yap. As our Texas friends would say, Trump's all hat, no cattle. The most dangerous thing he's done so far is .... tweet. < gasp > Tweet. Yes, tweet a few unveiled threats about tariffs toward a couple companies*. How do you deal with that? Same way you deal with a bully: ignore him.

So, to the point, what is it: Trump is a bunch of hot air coming out of nothing more than a school yard bully or a maniacal, despotic tyrant.

And as far as the media talking heads: The righties? Well, as I've said, I still have my firearms. They're agendaists trying to separate people from donations. The lefties? They parroted for the last year it would be President Hillary Clinton. And they too are looking for donations from true believers. Credibility factor on either group ain't that high. I'm not listening to either. Just like I'm not listening to Trump.

As I said, the most dangerous man right now is actually ... Mike Pence. He's in Washington knowing how it works, and doing things, and those things are not fully out in the light of day.


*He can threaten, scratch that, bully all he wants. Congress has to pass the law.

I do miss PCM.

Pence may be the most dangerous man domestically, but Trump is as or more dangerous as the man in charge of our foreign policy and military.

Pence can play a Cheney like role behind the scenes. ('Course a couple of the books since post '08 implied that Bush WAS actually firmly in charge, so who knows.)

Priebus (RNC chair) is somehow in the White House staff and Trump's going to "drain the swamp"? Yeah-right.

To my eyes, Priebus and Trump must've cut a deal. Priebus got enough GOP support back in line to get tDon into 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue; in exchange, Priebus got Pence in as VP and himself as WHCoS to push the real GOP agenda while tDon basks in glow and glory of him having the title President, and is the ultimate distraction to the media and Left.

If Trump was the real deal, and not just the distraction to give the GOP some cover, would his handlers still be letting him tweet?

Watch Pence, and for that matter, watch Priebus.

I don't think Trumps impulsivity and oversized ego will permit him to abdicate foreign policy. Just not convinced. It's an area where what you understand about the subtleties of a situation and what you say about them matters, and he is frighteningly deficient at both.
