POTUS: Definitely Needs Anger Management

Everyone that isn’t a moron thinks impeachment is justified.

The problem is it’s only polling at 50% or so. Half of us are okay with Trumps conduct. That isn’t good.
Read what Kepler wrote. Half of us have been brainwashed for thirty years. Given that, and as I said, its still higher than with Nixon, before people were being brainwashed every day. That its that high despite that is encouraging.

Don't be a Scooby.

Rudy Giuliani, a personal attorney for President Trump, said Monday that he played a key role in forcing ex-U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch from her post earlier this year, and claimed that he has evidence the Trump impeachment inquiry is a "cover-up" of Democratic malfeasance.

Giuliani, one of Trump's most loyal defenders, told Laura Ingraham on "The Ingraham Angle" that he helped forced out Yovanovitch because she was corrupt and obstructing the investigation into Ukraine and the Bidens.

Yovanovitch needed to be removed for many reasons most critical she was denying visas to Ukrainians who wanted to come to US and explain Dem corruption in Ukraine. She was OBSTRUCTING JUSTICE and that’s not the only thing she was doing. There's enough right here to impeach Trump, McConnell, and every other Republican. Yet, no. We do not believe in the rule of law anymore.

Military is on a real roll this week.

Re: POTUS: Definitely Needs Anger Management

I dunno. It seems like this was part of a series to tell a story.

Re: POTUS: Definitely Needs Anger Management

Funny...but 33% seems to be less than 50%

67% is greater than 50%.

Sure, I agree. Just saying that while popular support to impeach Nixon reached 70% that can by definition never happen today.

Alternately, all polling should be of the 67% who aren't sub-simian. So, the 50% figure for Dump is effectively 50/67 = 75% of all people with neocortex function. We don't poll children; we shouldn't poll Republicans.

WALLACE: Now, Democrats note that before an impeachment trial all senators have to raise their right hand and take an oath to do “impartial justice.” How impartial can it be when McConnell says that he, quote, “is taking his cues from the White House.” […]

BONDI: So, we weren’t given a fair trial in the House at all. Now it goes to the Senate, and these senators – the president deserves to be heard…. We wouldn’t be doing our job if we weren’t working hand in hand with the Senate to clear the president of this charade, this sham that started with Adam Schiff, your next guest, and we’re not going to let it continue in the U.S. Senate because we will have fair proceedings.

Bondi is an ex attorney general. She thinks the House process is a trial. How are we producing so many stupid people and giving them jobs of massive import?

The country is split 50/50 but all the smart people are Dems. That means the GOP will win half the time but they still have to staff all those positions, occupy all those seats, etc. These people are the smartest Republicans.

HISTORIANS’ STATEMENT ON THE IMPEACHMENT OF PRESIDENT TRUMP

President Trump’s lawless obstruction of the House of Representatives, which is rightly seeking documents and witness testimony in pursuit of its constitutionally-mandated oversight role, has demonstrated brazen contempt for representative government. So have his attempts to justify that obstruction on the grounds that the executive enjoys absolute immunity, a fictitious doctrine that, if tolerated, would turn the president into an elected monarch above the law.

As Alexander Hamilton wrote in The Federalist, impeachment was designed to deal with “the misconduct of public men” which involves “the abuse or violation of some public trust.” Collectively, the President’s offenses, including his dereliction in protecting the integrity of the 2020 election from Russian disinformation and renewed interference, arouse once again the Framers’ most profound fears that powerful members of government would become, in Hamilton’s words, “the mercenary instruments of foreign corruption.”

It is our considered judgment that if President Trump’s misconduct does not rise to the level of impeachment, then virtually nothing does.

It's a wonder our Republic has lasted this long.

Re: POTUS: Definitely Needs Anger Management

Breaking News: Mitch McConnell has rejected Democrats’ demands to call Mick Mulvaney, John Bolton and other key aides as witnesses during a Senate impeachment trial.

Re: POTUS: Definitely Needs Anger Management

Didn’t chuck try and use the bipartisan rules from the Clinton trial?

We knew it was coming. There are no more rules.

If a dem senate majority lead had done this, there’d be hell to pay. Dems need to hammer this home

All Democrats ever try to do is work with Republicans and use the exact same rules and processes they do. And all it ever does is explode in their face.

What do you expect?

Also: what happened to Jordan Klepper's career? He had a show and it looked like he'd taken off and... splat.

Re: POTUS: Definitely Needs Anger Management

His show didn't survive. I liked it but not many did.

I like Klepper but he's kind of a one note.

I'd like to see him in a show like "Tough Crowd," with a recurrent cast and a floater. He seems very quick, like Jim Norton or Greg Giraldo. He's not Patrice but nobody is.

Klepper doesn't do prepped material well; he oversells like Dennis Miller used to. But I think he can think on his feet. BTW, Norton has a morning show on XM Faction. I don't much like the host Sam something but Norton is witty and fast AF.
