Well there’s one I’ve never heard before but it’s not surprising (he used to be a “regular guy” who “tells it like it is” while hiring the smart people to work for him.) Next we’ll be hearing about how, like the Kims, he mastered skiing at 1 and rifle marksmanship at 3. I think I’ll go back to tuning out.

Even my Trumpy coworkers who think "well he's rich so he must not be too stupid" don't ever say he's "smart." They just think he's no dumber than, say, Dubya, whereas in reality he actually seems to be a high functioning idiot. The only person I have ever heard call Dump smart is Dump.

Fun fact: "idiot" comes from the Greek meaning "one who does not act in the service of the polis" or "one who only looks after himself." The idea being that to the Greeks, the polis was the only human-life-giving existence, and so if you only cared about yourself and your money you were quite literally a subhuman and no better than the barbarians.

Looking at the right: seems legit.

The court document confirms that Michael Flynn called the Russian Ambassador on December 29th, 2016, and asked him to delay the Russian government’s response to President Obama’s newly unveiled sanctions. Flynn is pleading guilty to this charge today, meaning that he’s confessing to having done this. Guess what Donald Trump tweeted the next morning after Flynn’s phone calls?

Hardly anybody cares. In 1986 a greater portion of the country both cared and understood. There was a lot less fake news out there. Now a very large minority of the country is being spoon-fed a daily dose of it by Fox News and they are much dumber than the republicans voters of 30+ years ago. With all of the sources for legitimate coverage of events there is no excuse for so many to be so ill-informed, yet we are, in large part. Anybody who thinks the average American knows enough about what is going on is sadly mistaken. Most people don't give a 5h!t, on the right OR the left. Some of that is because they are too busy working 2 or 3 jobs to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads. For some though it is a willful and lazy ignorance.

You can add CNN to bullsh* "news." Honestly, most any news channel nowadays is bullsh*. They are after ratings, not actual news. It's horrible.

I disagree. Vast majority are informed and don't want the bill. That's why it's being done like this. All networks except FOX have covered it well.

If the vast majority were against it they better not forget come November. I think the majority of people informed and paying attention were against it, but I'm surprised you think the vast majority are informed.

Honestly, I think there is a large portion of the population who cares a lot more about the Kardashian’s or whatever than they do about any serious issues facing the country.

No political sides here. Most news channels are pure BS. I tune in to CNN:
1. Only news channel I get
2. I see the headlines, then turn to the internet to find out the real story
