Republicans don’t recognize love. Unless it’s daddy wanting to bang his daughter

Brandon with the federal marijauna pardons!

(Not asking you specifically)

Can a person who has been pardoned for a specific crime vote if that person has no other felonies on their record? How long does that process of, for want of a more precise term, legal status take to become official.

I believe the whole idea is this wipes their record. It never happened. So they can vote.

I believe that is true. If not then it would depend on the state. Much easier to get your rights back in say Minnesota than Flo(R)ida.

They can't control the scrubbing of the federal record. The red states will obviously never scrub records for state crimes -- the entire idea of enforcement was to disenfranchise black voters in the first place.

It's not Jim Crow 2. Jim Crow 1 never ended. The racists just switched jerseys.

The right constantly throws the DNC's shameful history around as if it inoculates them. I don't understand why they think that would work.

"Yes, until the 1960s, it was the Democrats who were the party of the racist shitbags. And now the Republican party is. So what?"

There were racist dirt bag in both parties. It's just that once the Democrats passed laws preventing bias, they all congregated with the r's.

And I'd wager there are still some democratic racists. But instead of being brushed over as normal, any small sign will be called out by faux as significant.

Yeah prior to 1960 the parties both had libs and cons. It wasn't until Civil Rights that all the cons left the Dems and fled to the GOP. (which forced out the last few liberal GOPers)

Went ahead and submitted my application for the forgiveness today. Took like 2 minutes.

Did read through everything and made sure to read the part of about refunding payments since March 2020 a few times. Looks like they will automatically refund those payments (if you owe less than the $10k) once your application is accepted and the relief is applied. Wanted to make sure I didn't need to contact the servicer and do that as a separate transaction.

I only had a balance of about $5600 and paid something almost every month since March 2020. Should get refunded around $3k and have my balance fully forgiven.

My payments were not much, I didn't have a huge balance anyway, I was able to keep paying during the deferment/suspension. But this will still be a huge help and burden to not have to worry about anymore.

That's kind of where I am at. I actually ended up paying off about $7,000 between 2020 and 2021 since my job was never interrupted (and actually increased) along with all the stimulus cash going to this. I didn't have anywhere else to spend the money cause of the plague, so I just got fully debt free.

This refund is going to be another great stimulus that I am truly grateful for. Will likely just plop it in the retirement fund, but may also consider using it to get a brand new vehicle.

Some of my refund is going to my escrow account. I ended up with some shortage due to a huge property tax increase and want to get that balanced back out and what not. The rest will sit in savings honestly. I had been trying to build that up big but then spent quite a bit on some major overhaul work on my vehicle back in 2021. I have it almost back to where it was. The refund would put me over. I may treat myself to a large LEGO set though.

Between this loan being forgiven and some assistance from my mother (Dad dying from COVID; funeral costs covered, life insurance policies; she was like "we should use this money and not just sit on it") which went to paying off credit card debt (grad school is a pain), I will only have Auto and Mortgage payments. I should be feeling much more comfortable financially.

Joe Biden told a reporter this morning that “Roe v. Wade” lays out the abortion restrictions he supports when a reporter asked if he supported restrictions on abortion.
“Here’s how that helps pro-life candidates in swing districts, including one candidate known to affectionately call his campaign staff ‘my little c-nts.’”

Yes, the 8th circuit. I'm unsure what the claim is, but it must be different than the one SCOTUS just denied for standing reasons.

From the little I’ve read, this is an administrative stay only, which I guess means they need more time to make their initial decision. Has nothing to do with the merits. May just be that Biden’s administration previously stated that October 23rd would the the potential earliest date for discharge of student debt. To avoid that process starting before this court can even respond to the appeal, much less assess the quality of appeal, they placed said administrative leave. Decision next week.

Thought it got dismissed in district court because the clowns in the GOP can't find anyone with standing to sue. They're just making shit up again, I take it.
