It’s the ultimate irony. Raising middle class taxes, trashing Medicare and ss, likely fucking up non Medicare healthcare ….but hey they get to shit on women, minorities and gays and Gas is a tad lower because gas companies got their taxes lowered

Not sure where to put this, but since she worked for the administration I’ll put it here.

Social media literacy is terrible. Jen Psaki is trending because of a screenshot of a parody tweet that she had to deny tweeting. Half the comments are filled with people asking how there’s a blue check mark rather than realizing it’s a photoshop, even with the clear “Parody” label.

True, there’s a reason it went viral.

I don’t know how I feel about these types of accounts. This one clearly lists itself as a parody, but many others don’t. The whole Twitter screenshot thing is obviously supposed to make it look real. To me that starts to creep more into misinformation territory than parody/satire. Media and social media literacy are so low I lean more towards protecting us from ourselves and wish Twitter would delete them. But maybe I’m making too much out of it. Heck, one of my favorite things to read are those Ate The Onion stories.

And we can show piles of oxy overdoses for any red state.

But yes let's wait for the hypothetical perfect candidate who will never appear.

Heck I'm not even specifically pushing Newsom, but it makes sense to push your party's easily-reelected governor of a large state, those typically do well in Presidential elections.

Illinois JB Pritzker has said he supports Biden as the 2024 nominee.

I think we need to get through midterms. If it's a bloodbath, Joe may need to be talked out of running again. Joe was the best option in 2016, too bad he ran in 2020.

I've seen Pritzker's name bandied about as well but I know virtually nothing about him.


This whole thing is silly. It's Biden, or there's something absolutely terribly wrong. Why would the DNC so willingly piss away the power of incumbency?




Oh, I know why. Because the party is made up of idiots that let perfect be the enemy of the good at every step of the way. Real comforting when they're the only side actively committed to actual democracy.

Not if the people outside of California don't like him. Just because Californians like him doesn't mean others will.

The idea is to win.

(obviously none of us know if he is popular enough or not just making the point)
