Showing growth in an economy that was basically rubble due to everything shut down is fine. It's better than not showing growth. The Jacksonville Jaguars tripled their wins this year from last year. They still sucked.

Let's give it some time and see what happens.

Are you saying America under Trump was equivalent to the Jags?

The economy wasn't rubble. It was down, but a gross majority of people were still able to buy food and stuff.

But if you want to go with that theory, inflation can be excused away by the same reasons. Especially for things that were essentially given away in 2020- like fuel.

What? We haven't been "shut down" since like summer of 2020.

Better reply- we need 4 more years! Great idea, vote Democrat and support Biden this fall so that we can see what will happen.

I tend to be of the opinion that the POTUS (whoever holds the office) seizes too much credit for a good economy and is assigned too much blame for a bad economy, but that's just me. I do recognize that a good economy or a bad economy can have a positive or negative political effect on a President, however.

You truly are the master of the obvious.

Whatever would we do without you?

What an abdication. "Aw shucks. Doesn't matter what I do, it won't change much."

"Don't matter who's president, ain't gonna make much of a difference in the grand scheme of things. Why not give Donald Trump a shot, what harm could he do?"

That describes a lot of votes in '16. Might replace last query with "can't be any worse."

And in '20, when the right wing base became more comfortable openly expressing its intolerance: "he won't give it all away to the coloreds."

Bridge collapse in Pittsburgh just hours before Biden due to land to discuss infrastructure.

Can't wait to read on Twitter from some far right fringe how this was a false flag by the deep state to promote communism.

I’m just happy I save a few quid every time I fill up. Who gives a **** if once in awhile a bridge collapses.

It horrifies me how selfish and stupid we are. This truly is an issue where both sides(and really quite a bit of the population) deserve blame.
