If you want advice on Raleigh, I'm your guy. As we made that exact move 5 yrs ago.

Cool!

how bad is the summer humidity compared to MN? That’s honestly one of my questions as I don’t have much experience in southern humidity .
being purple-ish, coast not too far away, jobs, somewhat affordable housing still- make NC an option.

Humidity is fairly similar. Obviously there are a lot more 90 degree days for a longer period. You are trading that for almost no really.cold weather and very limited snow (1 snowfall this winter so far).

It’s hard to beat the UP. Today’s high is 5F, and the air is white and moving briskly sideways. But then in summer we get all the cold rain and a lot of mosquitoes to make up for it, with a growing season that’s almost long enough for radishes before we get snowed in again.

6 months of winter and 6 months of poor sledding.

Ah. I can’t imagine there are many of those that aren’t saddled with loads of student loan debt though.

I am a DINK (in literally every way possible), and my girlfriend and I have zero student load debt between us.

There are lots of 20-somethings that do have lots of that student loan debt, obviously, but as people have fewer kids there are more and more of us - adult professionals without children at all.

My wife and I are the same way.

I’m a sink, who had undergrad loans for ten years, free of student debt for the next ten, and now have some debt again after doing masters.
most of mine are private (WAY better interest rates than the gov loans at time) so even if joe forgives debt there are multiple reasons I won’t get relief. Probably wouldn’t have qualified due to income anyway

Citizenship for Dreamers at 83%? You'd never believe it if you talked to about half of Flyover Country.

Depends which part of Flyover you mean. Us Blue States are for it ;^) Most restaurant workers are for it as well :^p

I mean it is a Quinnipiac Poll so it isn't like it is going lean Left...

Why are Texas Republicans asking Joe Biden for help, when they filed a bill to secede just last month?

It’s kinda neat to have a president who doesn’t even hint that the voting habits or party leadership of a state might affect federal assistance and who doesn’t hold federal assistance hostage to praise from those state leaders.

Yeah I’m glad Biden isn’t refusing aid to states that are red, but holy moly those hypocrites in Texas have their hands out now after gleefully clapping when Trump tried to deny CA aid
