Had a last minute business trip and got processing in 3 days shipped at my door. They offer same day, I believe, in very select locations. Like DC, Denver, Minneapolis or Chicago, etc. You need documentation and proof of travel and justification IIRC.

Yes - I did a same day in Miami in 2016 after leaving my passport in a taxi (remember those?) on a business trip, just a week before my sister-in-law's wedding in Vancouver, BC. Doh. Made the appointment, drove down the next day, had a nice lunch, and drove back home with my new passport.

(The taxi company claimed they didn't have my old one, but it randomly showed up in the mail a couple months later.)

IINM Zelda did this with Scott's only first manuscript of Gatsby*. He had to rewrite the whole thing over.

Who knows, maybe the first version sucked?

* I misremembered the story. It was Hemingway's WW1 writings. My mind put Zelda in because she was a famous flake. **

In 2018, I got mine renewed in April, planning for my July trip. It came in early June. It’s almost like planning for government taking longer than you want should be expected. Hmm…
 
We've renewed all 4 of ours within the past 5 years. Wife and kids did via mail and got them back within a month, I did mine in person and got it back in about the same time. Perhaps doing it via a US embassy outside the US would speed things up? =^p

A couple of years ago, most of us treated him as just plain clueless. In a likely attempt to shed that rep, he started to troll, but he just doesn't have the horsepower for it. He's better equipped to water the houseplants and the hanging baskets on the porch.

As, I'm sure, are many of us.
 
A suspicious white powder was discovered in the White House on Sunday night. The building was evacuated (the first family was at Camp David) and the substance was tested. Turns out it was cocaine. No doubt smuggled in via Hunter Biden's laptop.

The cocaine was found in an area frequented by staff and visitors. The Secret Service is working to find out where it came from.

Is this a new story? Or re-hashing of when this happened two years ago?

Also, I trust my dog's instincts. And German Shepherds / Malanois / etc. are very much a one or two human only dog. You have to be close to them to be accepted.

What I learned from that article was that the SS agent(s) has/have not bonded with the family enough to be allowed into the pack by the dog. And that the dog was two, so it likely had some puppy in him still and thought the SS agents were playing.

There was a story that rehashed it because it has happened a lot.

Now as a Jew i dislike German Sheppards usually but I would trust their instincts over say Drew's.
 
Hunter's plea deal collapsed...people freaked out...now it has been revised. All in the space of an hour.

I dunno guys maybe we shouldn't elect him again!

Also, SS agents that were all in for Trump. So perhaps that dog just has great instincts.

All because a Trump appointed judge had questions about it. The prosecutors then said this does not make Hunter immune for possible future crimes (like the gun charge) so Hunter's team said the deal was void because this came out of nowhere. Then they talked and re-settled for the exact same language meaning he still can be charged later. As you say nothing changed.

CNN really thought they had a big story, everyone ran with it and before anyone had a chance to even get pundits ready to discuss it everything was fixed.

And not for nothing, this judge did the right thing.


"Wait. What kind of immunity is this? I have questions." And then they're answered, some slight changes to the deal made, and bam.
