To be fair no one likes double dippers

Re: PoTUS 45 LVXII: Pandemic Legacy Season 3

When the CDC's test kits proved to be flawed, was there any consideration of using the WHO kits that previously had been shipped to 57 countries? Strangely nothing reported about this or who was responsible for initially refusing the WHO test kits.

Re: PoTUS 45 LVXII: Pandemic Legacy Season 3

When are we going to here from the "this isn't the time to politicize the pandemic" crowd? Frankly, I think we should be politicizing it. I'm not a doctor or researcher, so all I can do is wash my hands, avoid touching other people and stay home if I have liquid coming out of one end or another. And I can also sure as hell point out to people these are the kinds of things that happen when you have children and grifters in charge of the government. A good president would not have prevented the coronavirus outbreak, but a good president would have been able to have a calming effect and would clearly be directing the proper people within government to address the issues. The markets would not be cratering like they are now, and the world would not be teetering on the brink of a global recession.

They brought this up on NPR as something that no one seems to have explained and a contributor to why we are in such a mess. Waiting for the Orange Menace who is going to speak. Why? Someone should stitch his mouth shut and superglue his fingers to something inanimate.

Rachel Bitecofer is awesome. I suggest following her on twitter so you can read her stuff when it drops. She knows what she's talking about and her story is one of those good American stories.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">We had a 20 trillion dollar deficit and instead of dealing w that, the GOP passed corporate tax giveaways & tax cuts for the rich, driving it up even further bc a 6% growth rate was always magical thinking & now the economy is collapsing & the govn't has no $ to deal w it</p>— Rachel "The Doc" Bitecofer (@RachelBitecofer) <a href="https://twitter.com/RachelBitecofer/status/1237045852797050880?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">March 9, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Yeah she gets modern politicking better than most. I agree with most of her projections too which is scary because they are pretty positive

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The fast-spreading coronavirus and a plunge in oil prices set off a chain reaction in financial markets on Monday, a self-perpetuating downward cycle that could inflict serious harm on the global economy <a href="https://t.co/Oq94WdvDHe">https://t.co/Oq94WdvDHe</a></p>— The New York Times (@nytimes) <a href="https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/1237196493443956736?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">March 10, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

The S&P 500 has tumbled 19 percent over the past few weeks, and Monday was its worst one-day decline in over a decade. The free fall has vaporized more than $5 trillion in stock market wealth.

Good lord...
