Reid wouldn't have had to go nuclear if the Republicans had a sincere interest in playing ball - they didn't. The Republican solution to every problem for the last decade plus has been either "Stall and do nothing" or "Cut taxes more".

Nah. Active imaginations produce beautiful movies and books and music. You guys drove off the cliff months ago.

And ignoring what is actually happening produces great amounts of wealth for profiteers and death merchants. But hey why learn from history amirite America always wins...

What's sad is you think your blindness makes you smart or a free thinker. It makes you just another bystander doing nothing to protect society.

Sicatoka,

So it is up to the Dems to do the right thing? Tell me Questioneer...if McConnell gets back control will he abide by the filibuster? Let me answer for you so you don't bend yourself into a pretzle...NO. He changes the rules to get his agenda through...that is why he screwed Obama out of a Supreme pick and rammed through ACB in election years.

Why is it on The Left to try and win a game fairly when the other side breaks the rules and never pays for it? Would the NoDak contingent tell their hockey team to do that?

We'll never know, because Reid (D-NV) did it first.

We do know, because McConnell held up Garland then rammed through Barrett despite the clear and blatant hypocrisy of doing so.

You spin it however you want to to be able to sleep at night, but people have been convicted with less evidence than what we're using.

Exactly. I heard enough defending of crap like that or cheap shots the refs ignored over the years to know better.

It is like some Wild fans I know whining the refs let all sort of stuff go in the Vegas series this year. If the refs are letting it go it is malpractice to let the other team take advantage whe you dont.

Oh, and spinning it as Reid pulling the trigger first is amazing spin that ignores McConnell's complicity by turning the filibuster itself into a nuclear weapon in order to stop the Senate from doing anything at all. Let us not forget that McConnell filibustered his own bill at one point.

It’s gaslighting pure and simple. It’s a staple of the Rs.

tbe Obama interview today- he said he never foresaw republicans getting as bad as they are now. That’s saying something

Nah it's Reids fault...the manilla envelope said so.

The Ds are at fault when they do anything and the Ds are at fault when the Rs do anything. Neat trick...

Here's the problem I have with throwing out the norms. If you have to burn the house down to save it, it's already lost. I'd like to have something to come back to. Throwing out convention and turning any hope of preserving (even the idea of) the DOJ as a nonpolitical dept is a bad idea.

Former President Donald Trump suggested on Monday that the solution to cyberattacks is to stop using computers.

During an interview on Fox Business, host Stuart Varney asked Trump about how the U.S. should respond to cyberattacks like the one that recently shut down the Colonial Pipeline.

"The way you stop it is you go back to a much more old-fashioned form of accounting and things," Trump said. "You know, I have a son who is so good with computers. He's a young person and he can make these things sing and when you put everything on internet and on all of these machines — you never see a piece of paper — I really think that you have to go back to a different form of accounting, a different form of compiling information."

During an economic forum in St. Petersburg on Friday, [Russian President Vladimir Putin] said the people who violently stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 to stop Congress from certifying Donald Trump's loss were people justifiably angry with the election results. "They came with political demands," he told a moderator during a Q&A session.
