POTUS 45.65: I'm Just Here For The Lincoln Project Ads

But Biden is old, and gas and groceries are expensive.

I know this is sarcasm, but my reality is my groceries, while not cheaper than they were in 2021 (and who really believes that 2 years DOWN the road crap is supposed to get cheaper anyway) are no more expensive in December of 2023 than they were in the spring of 2023. And gas is almost $0.50 cheaper in most of metro Cleveland that it was 6 months ago. American voters (at least those who appear to be responding to polls) are idiots. There are people out there, people who identify as progressive, who believe Biden is the worst president in the last 50 years. Even if those people don't believe he is the worst one overall, they say he's the worst Democratic one.

I will repeat this to anyone until election day: If measured or judged fairly, Biden is probably the best president overall in my lifetime. And I have solid memory of the last 11 of them.

Heck, Biden isn’t great on the issue that’s most important to me, but I’m still not dumb enough to not vote for him.

all the Muslims backing trump will be able to witness the deportation process first hand though (he brought this up again yesterday)

Why didn't the park service prepare for the crimes we were going to commit and purposefully misled them about? https://abcnews.go.com/US/organizer...formation-changed-security/story?id=105747804

The report found that the organizers from Women for America First failed to provide information about Trump's likely attendance at the rally and that they actively concealed information about the plans to follow the event with a march to the Capitol, despite a clear request for that information from the National Park Service.

Organizers first raised the possibility that Trump might attend the event on Dec. 31, despite planning documents from the previous day including items such as "POTUS Audio Package" and "POTUS Lighting Package."

"The park ranger for President's Park told us that, even though WFAF would not confirm it, 'that's when [she] knew' the President was going to be at the demonstration," the report noted.

The National Park Service eventually received confirmation from the Secret Service on Jan. 1 that Trump would attend the rally.

The report added that Women for America First "intentionally failed to disclose information" about the planned march on the Capitol. During a Dec. 29 phone call with a park ranger, event planners explicitly said that WFAF did not plan to march to the Capitol on Jan. 6, the report said. Permits revised as late as Jan. 5 stated that WFAF would "not conduct an organized march from the Ellipse at the conclusion of the rally."

At the same time, evidence reviewed by the OIG found that WFAF expected Trump to call for a march.

"POTUS expectations are intimate and then send everyone over to the Capitol," White House liaison texted a WFAF contractor on Jan. 3, according to the report.

"This stays only between us, we are having a second stage at the Supreme Court again after the ellipse. POTUS is going to have us march there/the Capitol ... It can also not get out about the march because I will be in trouble with the national park service and all the agencies but POTUS is going to just call for it 'unexpectedly,'" a WFAF representative texted on Jan. 4 to MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, who was a potential speaker at the event.

However, a park ranger said that the WFAF representative "was just adamant there was gonna be no march," according to the report.

Just to be on the same page, your solid memory would go all the way back to LBJ? The above statement can be repeated ad nauseum for the next millennia and it would still never make it true. You can judge him fairly, unfairly, biased, unbiased, rose colored glasses or however you would like. On his BEST day, Joe would be middling and that would be for people who like his policies.

If you truly judged him fairly, can you really say he is anything more than a teleprompter reading talking head? Joe is coming up with all of this stuff himself? To be nice, one could probably say that his best quality (or that of his handlers) is he puts on his suit when needed and reads what is written for him (sometimes).

Time to lay off the peyote.

I agree. He got shit done and hired all the right people in the right jobs.

Let's see, my lifetime with short anecdotes.

Nixon - Did some good things, but Watergate. He's a criminal. And he did some very bad things.
Ford - Nothing of substance that I remember.
Carter - Did some great things, but was bogged down and decimated by incompetence in certain areas.
Reagan - Started the overall destruction of the United States. Many of his policies, and mentalities still exist.
HW Bush - Just continued Reagan.
Clinton - Triangulation didn't really work as well as anyone thought.
GW Bush - Pretty much continued and almost completed Reagan's dream.
Obama - Desperately tried to set us on a correction path from Reagan but ultimately was unable to accomplish much.
Trump - The completion of Reagan's dream. His only failure on that front was failing to be reelected, or just staying in office.
Biden - The list of accomplishments is off the charts considering the narrow margin in the House and Senate.

You see, everything in my lifetime hinges on Reagan and just about everything that is wrong with the planet starts there.

Groceries are dropping near me...mainly because the gouging on items like eggs and butter has been stifled so prices are back to roughly normal levels. But since some mother in Elk River feels like things are getting worse we will hear that instead of...you know...FACTS!

Don't get me wrong, in a vacuum I know sometimes it can seem anecdotally things are more expensive and I am not pretending that for months grocery shopping and gas were killing my budget...but I also know that the rest of the civilized world would give anything to have our economy for the most part. Even countries that have complete control of their economy (whether Authoritarian or Socialist) haven't seen a rebound like ours. I mean literally every economist no matter their background was preaching a recession was imminent for months and it never happened.

That is why the Russian Bot Farms stopped talking about Inflation and prices on Social Media and have pivoted to "Anti-Zionism" in hopes of dividing The Left. And since Twitter is now just a Right Wing Echo Chamber they have moved to Tik Tock and Threads. What's great though is (at least on Threads) every time someone sees them they just comment "Block and Move On" and it largely gets no play. I will say the Bot Farms are getting better at hiding their botness.

My coworker was telling me how there is one Mexican based news station that a large part of the Mexican community he's in watches for their news. They just had a sit down interview with Trump, and the reactions to the interview are all the same: "We know it's only lip service and he'll likely stab us in the back as he deports us, but d*amn if he isn't saying all the right things to win our vote..."

He even knows the hypocracy is the point, but they keep voting for the Republicans because conservatives keep parroting the false narrative that Republican means Conservative which means strong Christian faith.

Sure! Joey Baby = Jack Welch and the Six Sigma approach to only having the Best of the Best.

Here is a sampling of his Mount Rushmore choices. Such stellar results that one finds it difficult to come up with the proper platitudes.

Buttigieg
Mayorkas
Blinken
Brinton

Whalers we knew you were stupid...
But just for future reference...
It's them's the breaks...

Hence my smiley face douche bag. I am well aware that the proper spelling is brEAKs, but one constantly sees this written on forums as brAKEs, hence the pun. An add on to "hypocracy" in the previous post, get it brainiac? Yeah, I am the stupid one, but everyone else here just stumbled out of the Mensa meeting. I keep forgetting.

Good cover...
