Obama looked into it after Cosby's conviction and determined that POTUS lacked the clear authority and/or legal precedent to rescind it. Plus, it sets off the potential for another POTUS like Dump to come into office and revoke the medals his predecessor awarded out of spite/to own the libs/whatever.

I think that's probably the best response to our own conservatives here from now on. They can't possibly be miffed because they really believe the GOP has the best interests of the nation at heart, right?

That is the best way to deal with Pepe, too. Because they are only wink wink playing at racism, anti-Semitism, and sedition.

Looks like Diaper Boy made one more threat to Pence at his Nuremberg rally. Presumably Dump will rail against him as a traitor and destroy his 2024 bid. Which obviously he would anyway since he's going to announce on 1/20 so that the Federalist Society can insist as Once and Future President he can't be prosecuted.

Chotiner has this super dry bit where he attacks the MSM with posts like that. Because he’s a very, very intelligent person with integrity, the rest of them are fame vultures (for example, Maggie Haberman)

I read the Wiki blurb on Maggie to see when she made The Turn and became what she is now.

It appears she was bred to be this. Seriously, her entire biography reeks of what she embodies now. I went to school with dozens of these people and all I can say is thank god failure shielded my immortal soul.

In a just world she would have married Malcolm Gladwell. And been barren.

The second Trump got the nom it was a lock. Her mom works for and is friends with the Kushners. That is why her sources are so close to the WH. She actually hid it well until the Michelle Wolfe disaster when it was outed one of her sources was Sarah Huckabee Sanders. (she did not take that well) Now it is almost universally assumed if she writes a story and quotes "sources close to Trump" it is Kushner or an aide to Kushner.

I think there is a part of her that thought she could be objective, and probably was even trying to...but her and the Times failed miserably. That wasn't just Access Journalism the Times has been friendly with Trump for decades.

Until their moment of empathy passes then they're right back on the bandwagon because it doesn't effect them anymore.


Personal anecdote: I have a close college friend who has fully and vocally embraced "abortion is bad!" as her conservative tilt on social media for the last year. I politely reminded her a few months back that in some states, like Texas, the two miscarriages she had before her rainbow baby she could have been forced by Texas to have funerals for them and a state investigation into the miscarriage. (if she lived there). The snowflake promptly blocked me.
