First amendment? He didn’t even read the very first word of the amendment.
(Yes, I know the courts have helpfully applied it to other governmental bodies, but not to private publishing companies, which is essentially what Twitter is)

I think they would have the power to tell Dumpy to pound sand however.
Dumpy can say whatever he wants. He just needs to find a platform other than Twitter. Twitter can refuse his service in the same manner that you or I can't walk up to a publishing company and have a million copies of our personal manifesto published. Twitter can be a gatekeeper to who uses their platform.

To be fair the man that made the statement not only seemed to be saying it for clickbait, but went on to clarify he doesn't mean dead as in a physical sense and no one should be killed, he meant in the political sense. I get it that his choice of words were inflammatory to a degree, but don't given them reason to repeatedly criticize Democrates for being reactionary.
