I think they're missing the "Forced Homosexual Experimentation Lab" that every campus has.

Re: POTUS 45.63: This Thread Gets Better Ratings Than The Super Bowl

No. Future old people.

You need not go any further than right here. All voters hear is "cuts to social security" and that's when they tune out the rest. Goopers have tried this tactic several times over the last few decades. As in "grandfathering in" current entitlement recipients while cutting benefits for those who aren't eligible yet. The problem is the oldies correctly realize that once you start allowing politicians to make cuts, they'll be coming for you next. Republicans can try until they're blue in the face to explain that it doesn't apply to their own voters, but as the old saying goes: if you're explaining, you're losing.

Re: POTUS 45.63: This Thread Gets Better Ratings Than The Super Bowl

Yeah, usually it's Democrats with long winded explanations of why X is a good thing while the GOP has a one liner that's full of it. Guess who ends up winning the narrative? Social Security is the rare switch.

According to a couple articles I read Senate Republicans are freaking out over stuff like this...but more the attacks on Health Care. (during a Pandemic!) Apparently the feeling is they know if he keeps this crap up their majority is dead on arrival.

I think it used to be possible/probable that the GOP could keep the Senate even if Chump lost. Now I don't see how they survive even a narrow loss.

Re: POTUS 45.63: This Thread Gets Better Ratings Than The Super Bowl

They survive because voters haven't split Senate/President ballots in years.

Is there a chance Trump has Obama arrested on some bs charge? Even a week ago I wouldn't have thought it possible, but would anything surprise you at this point?

I doubt arrested, because even Barr and Co. should be able to see that opens the door to them being arrested the next time there's a D administration. But I could certainly see him pushing a DOJ/Senate investigation to drag him through the mud.

That would certainly be politically more valuable to Dump, though he'd have to be careful with that too. As much as he is driven by his egocentric impulses, at some level he knows he needs the same voters to win that the Ds do. They each have their 45+ percent committed base, and neither can thumb his nose at the 6-8 percent getables who could either flip or stay home. The percentage truly in play is probably even smaller than that. That's why there is so frickin much white noise in this race--Dump playing to his base and inflaming committed Ds. Just white noise.

We’ve been talking about the 35ish percent, but this extra 9% is even more interesting.

Those are folks that thinks he sucks at dealing with the virus in particular but want the economy opened up and that herd immunity will fix it.

I've already explained this. Chump voters can be divided into two categories. 1) Those who like the racism but are worried that his incompetence is going to get them or their family killed, and 2) Those who would be honored if Chump's incompetence got them killed!
