I hope he’s looking out for himself. (No, I don’t think he’s in actual physical danger. Beyond what your average dem is.)

And also the context that whenever a Republican gets caught lying, cheating, and stealing the progression by apologists is:

1. That didn't happen; you're crazy. (denial)
2. OK maybe that happened but you're misinterpreting it because you're partisan. (distortion)
3. OK maybe that happened and it was bad but did you complain when the Democrats did x? (whataboutism)
4. OK maybe that happened and it was bad and there's no Democratic equivalent but that's baseball Suzyn. (bothsiderism)
5. OK maybe that happened and it was bad and there's no Democratic equivalent and we should expect better but in these perilous times our country is facing much bigger problems and we must all pull together. (deflection)

Their "blowing out of proportion" put the man in the White House who is destroying the country. Regret? He better have a lot more than regret.

By the way. It irritated me to no end that this was not mentioned on any of the news shows this weekend. This should have been ALL OVER THE PLACE.
