Re: POTUS 45.59: It Was a Great Phone Call

Yeah I can see why that would anger someone...

That ranks up there with my mom disliking Kamala Harris cause she was mean to Biden...

Exactly. These people are not rational. And there's a lot of them. And some of them are really good people.

Oh I would bet half of the Trumpers are people I would like personally. Doesnt change the fact that they are ignorant...

Anyone with a daughter who would vote for him as President is lucky to ONLY be considered ignorant.

Re: POTUS 45.59: It Was a Great Phone Call

As I said...the Dems are playing this perfect.

Succinct and on point once again:

“It comes down to this. We’ve cut through the denials. The deflections. The nonsense. Donald Trump believes he can pressure a foreign nation to help him politically. It’s his ‘right.’ Every Republican in Congress has to decide: Is he right?”

— House Intelligence Committee chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA), on Twitter.

Ummm...

Re: POTUS 45.59: It Was a Great Phone Call

They won't flip to D...they are just embarrassed by Trump. Could mean they won't vote...i am honestly not sure on that point yet.

They don't have to switch to D; they could do a one-time strategic vote for the D nominee to remove the stain from the White House. That would be patriotic.

Re: POTUS 45.59: It Was a Great Phone Call

(it should be noted they have an ego that rival's Kepler's so that helps them hate the GOP even more ;) )

If there's an ego out there to rival mine I want it hunted down and shot.

Re: POTUS 45.59: It Was a Great Phone Call

I'm not sure how anybody could be a sincere Undecided unless they are very, very lofo.

I'll say this about Dump: he has not been shy showing us what he is. To be against him denotes patriotism. To be for him indicates mental illness. But to be unsure? I can't wrap my mind around that.

Agreed that Independents are full partisans who simply refuse to adopt the label of the party they support out of a smug (and false) feeling of superiority.

And Moderates? Almost everybody thinks they are "moderate" like everybody thinks they're a good driver. It's meaningless.

I think the undecided window is real, but we're making a massive mistake in assuming it's the same people. That window shifts up and down the field and has a different width.

With an election of Romney-Obama, the undecided window might look like:
<------------Field------------>
..................<------>............. (Window)

Obama vs. Dump:
<------------Field------------>
................................<-->.....

Hillary vs. Dump (2016, only knowing what we knew on 11/8/2016)
<------------Field------------>
..............<---------->............

Hillary vs. Dump (2016, only knowing what we knew know now)
<------------Field------------>
...........................<--------->

We've (maybe just the average dummy like me) have assumed they're always "centrists" and "independents". They aren't. They always move. This year the undecideds are right-wingers who haven't decided whether they can pull the lever for a nazi and live with themselves.

This is probably all PolySci 101, but whatever.

Re: POTUS 45.59: It Was a Great Phone Call

That's a really interesting analysis. Have to think about it.

Scoobs, I know you look for bad news to jerk off to, but once again you're out to lunch on this. Start throwing out 9 zillion different narratives from all 290 ish Dems serving in Congress and it all becomes mishmash. Focus on the most salient charge of corruption - the evidence we now have the Chump and his state dept + sleazeball lawyer were holding up foreign aid in order to coerce a country to launch a baseless investigation against a political rival. Game. Set. Match. Finish up with witnesses and hold an impeachment vote in the next couple of months.
Force multiple countries.

Ummm...

Im so waiting for him to quote Nixon and go full "if the president does it it's not illegal."

Mittens better be prepared for what's coming after this one: from CNN

"When the only American citizen President Trump singles out for China’s investigation is his political opponent in the midst of the Democratic nomination process, it strains credulity to suggest that it is anything other than politically motivated," wrote Romney.

"By all appearances, the President’s brazen and unprecedented appeal to China and to Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden is wrong and appalling," Romney continued.

Romney is one of few Congressional Republicans who have criticized the President's actions.

Time for another sit down dinner with Donnie. Apparently, he didn't get all of Mitt's balls at the first one.

Still the most humiliating thing I've ever seen, and I've been a Mets fan for 49 seasons.
