POTUS 45.59: It Was a Great Phone Call

Those who are unable to learn from the past are DOOMED to repeat it. I refuse to be a member of that group.

There is a MASSIVE difference between not learning from the past and believing there is no future.

Re: POTUS 45.59: It Was a Great Phone Call

It seems that the main difference between this and the hope that arose in the early Mueller days is that more bigger rats may need to save their own rat skins.

Yep...and there is a line out of the door of people willing to leak info to the press and Congress. I think the Whistleblower scared a lot of low end capos and Trump and the GOP basically wanting to out them and destroy them in full view of the public has them willing to protect themselves by destroying them. Loyalty through fear only lasts so long...

I pray they don't find a way out of the box again. They did it with Valerie Plame, they did it with the Iraq War, they did it with Mueller (more examples exist I'm sure). This time I hope they actually can't escape the net.

honestly i'm pretty depressed when I see how many people still support the president unequivocally even after everything that's come to light

I'm not sure I want to share a country with these people

Diversity is one of our strengths.

One wonders why they would have to flee? Certainly Guiliani isn't involved in anything nefarious.

Re: POTUS 45.59: It Was a Great Phone Call

Scooby I completely agree. We're clearly doomed, so you really don't need money anymore. Please forward to me all of your assets, but none of your debts (because those will never be collected anyways if we're all burning in hellfire) so that I can relieve the liquor store down the street of their Makers Mark bourbon inventory. ;) I know I can count on you to do so since you mean what you say out here and would not want to be known as a liar.

Before that they did it with Iran-Contra.

The right has been a party of anti-democratic traitors going on 35 years and they've skated every time. A lot of Republicans getting rung up now should have been put away a generation ago.

This is what happens when you are "civil" to traitors. They just keep coming back and doing their thing. Much better to take the political hit up front and prosecute them. It isn't as if we gained anything by letting them slide. Their supporters hate us anyway. Time to stop throwing them a bone.

Fight it..or leave...those are your choices.

One of Rudy's first statements after their arrest was that he "didn't think they would flip" on him.

Yep, that's what people not involved in the crime-making say.
