Do it next time, for fecksakes

It worries the f-ck out of me.

The judiciary I can see -- there is at least some degree of integrity there. But the legislature? All we need is Mitch McConnell starting to issue letters of marque* and arresting everybody who doesn't comply.

How about this, then? Dump tells x to ignore a House subpoena. House passes request for compliance to the judiciary. Federal judge orders x to appear or be arrested.

That would make me a lot happier since there's at least a judicial circuit breaker.

* Don't actually remember what these are.

But her emails!!

“Trump’s interaction with the foreign leader included a “promise” that was regarded as so troubling that it prompted an official in the U.S. intelligence community to file a formal whistleblower complaint with the inspector general for the intelligence community, said the officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.”

So this is the whistle blower thing Schiff is mad about

Nah its cool. Lets let Congress be like the media and give all of these clowns free airtime and allow them to lie and cheat with impunity. At least we can say we were on the right side of history as we watch Democracy burn.

The Dems keep this up and Trump will be re-elected because he will spend the next year doing a victory lap just like he did with Mueller. Meanwhile the Democrats will be crying and whining about how life isnt fair and finding some stupid little thing to attack him about that will go nowhere and make them look petty and lame. They look unprepared, feckless and completely outmatched for this process. Someone should have told them this is not a debate at Georgetown THIS IS A FIGHT FOR THE SOUL OF THE COUNTRY! Not one of them has the guts to do or say what must be done and said.

They arent even making this a hard choice...most of the people watching any of this are not going to be swayed by this crap. They just let a second rate thug run roughshod over them they dont look strong they look like nerds worried about the bully in class. They arent making the case for Impeachment and they arent making the Trumpers fearful to stand up and be counted...if anything they are just gonna make them more emboldened. They also arent making anyone in the middle's decision any harder either. All they are doing is a spot on impression of every criticism of Democrats going back 40 years. A second rate prosecutor in any major metropolitan area could do better than the House is doing on this crap.

Now sack up and friggin fight already. When Nancy friggin Pelosi is telling you you arent going far enough that is the ultimate sign you need to mainline some Viagra and man up already. rufus is 100% correct on all of this so far.

After today, I agree. I've been a fan of Pelosi's lead, since, well probably since.

Re: POTUS 45.58: Admit it, those lights are making you look orange too.

That was actually kind of an insult. Nancy moves notoriously slow on most big issues and even SHE is telling these guys to get going.

This ad from Republicans for the Rule of Law is up on the air--part of a larger campaign to focus on corruption in the Trump administration. There's always been corruption in our politics, but usually as a bug, not a feature. Bill Kristol lecturing on the rule of law really takes chutzpah, but sure, fine. We'll take your help and settle with you later.

I mean, it is a well-produced clip. Credit where credit is due.

If you want to fight evil...have someone slightly less evil to lead the way ;)

She is the speaker...is there really nothing more she can do besides telling them to get moving?
For me it shows a lack of leadership to just say it needs to happen and not being the one making it happen.

I don't think it was that. I think she took a shot at Nadler. He's the one whining about impeaching, and he finally starts his hearings, and that guy mocks him in front of a national audience, and he does nothing. He looks weak. And impeachment looks useless. And this is Nancy saying, "See, I told ya so".

If this is gonna continue, they HAVE to compel testimony, and they need to let that lawyer guy they had ask the questions. If you're gonna go, you gotta go hard, and you gotta go all in.

Party of small government is busy this week

“The Trump administration is pressuring the University of North Carolina and Duke University to revise their joint Middle East studies program that disproportionately portrays "the positive aspects of Islam" by September 22 or lose a federal grant they've been receiving for almost a decade.”

Good plan. They're increasing the Evangelical Grants I'm assuming? You know, the Good Religion.

No I meant I was taking the shot both at Nancy and Nadler. She was DEFINITELY taking a shot at Nadler.
