Jews dont think that is happening...they think the Bible Part 2 people are nutso. Remember according to the OG Bible only the Jews are going to Paradise.
Basically both sides are hedging. The Christians know the only chance they have of the Return is if the Jews control Jerusalem and the Jews will do anything to protect themselves from the [bleep]storm that would happen if the Grand Old Nazis abandoned them. If the Christians stopped believing the end was near (Thanks Obama!) and backed off their support even a little bit it would be war and with the Grand Old Nazis in charge that means one of the US "allies" in the ME is doing the warring.
What would help is if the Palestinians got their [bleep] together, ousted their ties to terrorists, and put forth a legit movement to peace. As long as they allow themselves to be used as cannon fodder by the other Arab States and as The Big Bad Boogeyman by the Likuds the ME is phuked. But they too are making deals with the devil to give them more safety...only problem is they dont have the resources to survive and dont have the political acumen to play both sides long enough to stall it out. They are teenagers, playing a man's game. That is why they are so easily manipulated. If they thought about things instead of acting on sheer emotion they would have a full on Palestinian State and peace with Israel. They let Arafat and his cronies screw them out of prosperity and statehood so he could consolidate power and wealth. So they have nothing, and lash out at those who have what they want, who then go deep red out of fear of being attacked. And the rest of the ME laughs and makes billions!
