Re: POTUS 45:53: I Didn't Appoint That Judge So It Doesn't Matter.

Biden is Trump Lite.
I get the feeling that he could at least assemble a Transition Team and appoint his cabinet positions much faster and thoroughly than Trump ever tried. And I don't get the feeling Joe would want foreign kids to be kept in concentration camps.

Re: POTUS 45:53: I Didn't Appoint That Judge So It Doesn't Matter.

Biden and Bernie are two opposite ends of the spectrum. You're essentially saying you'll never vote for a Dem.

Except I've already said I'd vote for Klobuchar.

Re: POTUS 45:53: I Didn't Appoint That Judge So It Doesn't Matter.

That is why I specified Biden/Bernie. And then got roasted.

You said in a different thread you liked Warren. She is essentially Bernie with more spelled out policies. What's the major difference you see between them?

Re: POTUS 45:53: I Didn't Appoint That Judge So It Doesn't Matter.

I guess whoever Brent votes for, if he votes at all, won't be good enough for you guys. Might as well leave the topic alone.

I do like Warren, but not as Prez. Give her a position that she could excel at, which is finance. I disagree with some of her stuff, but I think with checks and balances, she would do well in a position like that.

I've stayed out of it, other than my quick quip, because I would much rather see Brent vote than to sit out. I get what he means in that he doesn't want to reward the Dems for Trump's incompetence by voting solely for them to get Trump out, but I'm slightly disappointed in that if it's a "named" Dem, he's going to immediately go for a third party nominee.

But, we're still nine months away from the Minnesota Democratic primary. A lot can change between now and then, and there might be a Dem candidate that checks most of the boxes Brent is looking for.

All I ask is that he weighs all the options and understands the outcome (which, it appears he does).

This is the other big factor.

And I have said in the past, and I will say it again, I'd rather have an uninformed voter not vote than cast a vote. That can be just as dangerous. :)

She'd make a fantastic President. Better than W, Trump, Reagan, Bush Sr., and Clinton.

I think any one of us would make a better prez than Trump. We wouldn't know what we were doing, either, but at least we'd realize it and get some decent advisers. ;)

Check out the kind of pols Australians elect. Now imagine compulsory voting in Texas or California. Yikes.

Re: POTUS 45:53: I Didn't Appoint That Judge So It Doesn't Matter.

Pretty sure Joe did. Sic, I believe voted for Gary Johnson? Rube didn't vote but has said Trump should be impeached. Hovey, maybe, but I don't recall specifically.

Hovey didnt vote for Trump I dont believe and I am pretty sure dislikes him a great deal. For the most part Hovey doesnt carry much water though he did take umbrage to the "concentration camps" moniker at first. (he dropped that argument) He is not Sicatoka, he backs up his thoughts with further information. (not just drive by thoughts looking to concern troll) I mostly disagree with him on stuff but he is not some "die on the hill" GOPer. Hell his immigration views alone pretty much kill that IIRC. (he I believe argued for completely open borders at one point)

I dont get why people care who he votes for anyways. The obsession some around here have for his political views is kinda creepy. To be honest I just skim that stuff now because he cant explain himself well and when you explain what he is trying to say it doesnt help it only makes things worse.

Interesting that now apparently Klobuchar isnt liberal enough for people around here though.

Anyways Rube stop telling people who you are voting for. No good comes of it.

I would not be fine with a 2nd term for Trump. But I will not compromise my values just to vote someone out of office. How the heck does anyone think we got in this mess in the first place? It wasn't s/he's good. It was s/he's not as bad as what we have. How the hell is that improvement?
Because you and people like you could not compromise their values and vote for Hillary, despite the certain dumpster fire that awaited them should she lose that election.

Congratulations, you got what you wanted. The country can go to hell, but your precious "values" are still intact.

The flu's not as bad as pancreatic cancer. But really, what's the difference? I feel like chit either way. Bring on the chemo. Might be fun.

How the hell is that improvement?

But to be serious

Seriously? Are you really that friggin' dense? "How is that improvement?"

Hmmmmmm, let me think.

Well, for starters, there wouldn't be a couple thousand Latin American parents wondering where their kids are. There wouldn't be a couple thousand brown kids wondering if they'll ever see their parents again. Thanks, Trump.

We also wouldn't be dumping coal ash directly into our streams and rivers. Thanks Trump.

We also wouldn't be allowing those increased levels of radiation into our atmosphere. But, thanks Trump.

When we claim to have intelligence that a certain nation was behind an attack, our allies would take our word for it and believe it, not laugh in our face and dismiss us out of hand. Thanks Trump.

Oh yeah, and we'd still have allies, too.

Consumers wouldn't be paying more for everything due to stupid tariffs. Thanks Trump. And we still would have a soybean industry.

And billionaires wouldn't have gotten a $1.5 trillion government handout. Thanks Trump.

Just a few examples.

And if you dare say we're not sure that any of that might have happened under Hillary anyway, I swear I'll strangle you in your sleep
